This is a great place to be at if you ride or appreciate motorcycles, classic cars/trucks, local musicians, good conversations with people you know or just met, good food and drinks, and/or most importantly friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. There are designated parking spaces for motorcycles directly in front of the outside deck and patio at the front door entrance. Anyone with a classic car/truck can utilize the motorcycle parking or the spots closest to the old gas pump out front. There is a large gravel parking area to the right of the building that accommodates those who arrive in vehicles and if busy enough, people will park directly across the street and (using common sense and caution) walk across to join the party. There's also a large tiered area behind the building with a bar, picnic tables and large umbrellas, a stage, dog park area and lots of cool eclectic "decorations" scattered all over. If you want to see what the REAL Nashville is all about, forget downtown and all the crowds and overpriced beer, forget about spending an hour looking for $30 parking, forget about walking around in a pair of cowboy boots that you just bought because that's what everyone else is doing and come hang out with the REAL Nashville at Roadside Bar and Grill! Tell 'em I sent you and if I'm there I will buy you a beer. (offer limited to 1 beer per group of first time visitors with no less than 5 people and no more than 100, between the hours of 12 noon and 12:01 pm. Rules and conditions are subject to change at any time according to amounts of money in my pocket and how much I...
Read moreI went there for the karaoke, but was surprised by their food. It was really good. I mean REALLY good -- much better than average "pub food". I had an appetizer of Buffalo chicken dip. It was AMAZING. (And, I have eaten Buffalo wings in Buffalo, New York.) They use the RIGHT type of tortilla chips, thick and sturdy. The main meal was a Roadside house salad. I added the seared tuna, and it was well worth the add-on cost. It was seasoned to perfection. The ranch dressing tasted fresh-made, and they were generous with it. To drink, I had a tall can of PABST Blue Ribbon. (Hey... it doesn't need to be expensive to taste good. I have enjoyed drinking Blue Ribbon in the Pabst brewery during a tour.). And, for dessert, I had the BEST Bushwhacker that I've ever had.
I went there for the karaoke, and it was fun. (But, it was too loud for the small room. That caused a lot of "feedback" instances, which cut into the singing fun.) Even with that, I still recommend the place, the food, and KJ...
Read moreI love a good locally owned dive bar. Especially one where the owners prove to be really good people, just wanting a place with a fun atmosphere, cold drinks and unassumingly delicious food! I’ve passed by this “biker bar” for 14 years and finally popped in tonight. As soon as we walked in and friends wanted to turn back around, the two owners said, “why are you leaving? Let us buy you ladies a drink.” We ended up staying and hanging with them and other locals on their front deck bar. We managed to taste food from Chef Jimmy in the kitchen… A dive bar with Sashimi? I don’t even eat seafood and it was unbelievable. The grilled chicken and the sriracha maybe ginger wings were spot on. Definitely going to go back (with my dog for the leash free dog run off the back patio!) Live music and always some trivia event or something. So glad I finally stopped in! Most definitely will...
