My fiancee purchased my engagement ring from Ingram Jewelers. I'm happy with our final product, but it took 4-5 visits to the store for them to be able to get it right. When he gave me my ring, it still had deep scratches in it from the diamonds in the halo being inserted by the jeweler (he hadn't polished my ring), the diamond was mounted much higher than requested, and the ring was about 2 sizes too big when my fiancee had given them my correct ring size. The diamonds the jeweler mounted in the halo were visibly crooked and loose. I took it back twice to have it fixed but the diamonds were never inserted evenly or securely. We were told they had him install the diamonds to save us money- but that was never asked for by us or communicated on the front end. They ended up having to order me a whole new ring and have the company insert the halo diamonds themselves, which resulted in a totally different looking halo and me not being able to wear the original ring my fiancee proposed with. The store manager finally got involved (over speakerphone) during our last visit to the store. I did not feel like she tried to understand our situation. When I told her I had received a ring that was scratched and dented, she said "scratches will happen with wear" and reminded me that I can always bring it back in to be polished. That's not the point- and it felt like I kept being fed excuses when all I wanted was an apology and a little bit of understanding.

Receiving my ring like I did really cheapened the experience and I was honestly scared to leave it in their hands every time I took it back. She did offer us a credit to the store for the trouble- which I appreciate- though I don't think I'll purchase anything from them that requires any kind of maintenance again.

I will say- I am happy with my ring finally. And shout out to Anna who provided great customer service throughout the entire process, even when I was visibly frustrated and angry by my 5th visit to get my ring fixed. She was always patient...

I was 4 or 5 months into the ring shopping process but I couldn’t find anything that fit what I was wanting for my now fiancé. I was referred to Ingram by a good friend of mine who has never steered me wrong. The owner, Heidi, was incredibly friendly and showed me a number of gorgeous rings. While they had a great selection, my picky taste still persisted. It seemed every ring would have a design I liked but something I didn’t. I voiced this to Heidi and she told me they could design a ring from scratch that compiled everything I wanted. The idea of a custom ring had never entered my mind. Surely this would be out of my budget but it was actually no more than I was already looking to spend. Through the design process they sent me mock-ups of what the ring was going to look like to stay on track with exactly what I wanted. The turnaround was quick and within a month and a half the ring was finished and PERFECT down to the very last detail. My fiancé now has a ring on her finger forever that is one of a kind… just like her. It’s been over a month now and I still catch her staring at it with googly eyes.
