Came in for early dinner! Wasn’t even greeted by the guy at the desk / reception area. In my opinion, wasn’t friendly at all, didn’t even tell me his name. Sat down ordered the Hummus and the “garlic” sauce according to what stated it was. For my dinner, wanted the chicken & steak (Mignon) kebab with rice. The guy asked me if I wanted a drink, ordered a coke with lemon. Few minutes later I was brought the coke with lime! Lime is green, lemon is yellow! I asked for lemon which is what I enjoy, the lime changed the taste completely.
Let’s get down to the flavor….
The hummus was terrible! It had no taste. When my dinner was brought to me, told the young lady she could take it. I expected somebody to come and inquire since I left pretty much the entire dish.
The “garlic” sauce, was told that’s what it was by the guy that took my order so I said sure. This too, don’t know what the hell it was and another odd on flavors. Honestly, I thought it was the yogurt with dill which is fabulous for the most part. So don’t get this confused, it’s not one of their options.
A place like this and it doesn’t serve fresh warm bread, thought that was a bummer! I only ate two pieces, one with the hummus and one with the “garlic” sauce.
Dinner arrived, placed nicely on the curved plate. Make sure you eat carefully, your food will fall off the plate. The ONLY two things I enjoyed were the chicken and the rice, they were both good! The supposed steak (Mignon) is not even close, I don’t know what that was, definitely wasn’t Mignon. I didn’t taste the small salad not the grilled tomato so I won’t comment on those. This guy was quick to tell me with the steak it’s $33.00 lol I thought that was hilarious because it’s definitely not worth it!
Now let’s talk about the service! ZERO! Not one person came to me to ask me how is everything! I was done eating and waited for like 8 mins, I was watching my clock. The place wasn’t even busy, had one other party of two that were already served when I got there. Wasn’t even offered dessert!
More like a Taste of Nothing! Exactly what I got!
This is NOT a Valdi...
Read moreI walked in expecting the best food ever. But that’s not what I received….
A lot of people recommended this place to me and told me to try the kabob, I’m always skeptical trying new restaurants with out some type of recommendation, but how could so many people be wrong.
I called in and ordered the Kabob for pick up, the gentlemen on the phone was super friendly, he adviced me it’ll be 10 minutes, I showed up, and a lady attended me.
They told me my food was ready, and gave me a bag, and told me it would be $20.30, I paid and as I was walking out the lady asked me if I wanted utensils, I said yes! ( but I thought it was already in the bag) so I checked and I didn’t have any utensils or napkins.
For a $20.00 meal I would expect all that, I got in my car and continued to drive home, the food smelled amazing, I felt like I was in Persia lol, it smelled so authentic. I was excited and ready to try it!!
I get home and the first thing I notice is…. There’s soooo much rice and 2 small pieces of meet, the proportion was very off, but I was hoping the food would be amazing.. it wasn’t!
I don’t like to waste food, but this food was so greasy and oily, it had no taste besides the greasy oily taste, the rice was good, but the whole purpose of the meal was the kabob! I had no choice but to throw it away.
I will most likely never eat here again, correct me if I’m wrong, but I didn’t like Persian food, or it was a bad experience….
20.00 it’s a lot of money for a plate of rice and 2 small pieces of flavorless meat.
The only thing I really enjoyed was the grilled tomatoe.
I’m totally upset, in conclusion I paid $20.00 for a grilled tomato, the rest went to the trash!
Atmosphere was amazing, great decorations, but the purpose of a restaurant...
Read moreBelow, you can read a review that I left 8 months ago, when Taste of Persia was a newly opened restaurant. I leave that review attached here, because we absolutely LOVED everything about it, from the delicious food, to the courteous & professional service, to the calm & inviting environment. WE STILL DO! I’ve become a regular here, and am treated as a friend now, when I arrive. I recently had a party at my home & it wouldn’t have been complete without my favorite foods from Taste of Persia! I ordered kebabs, chicken, beef & rice…. Everyone there loved the food. If you haven’t given this place a try yet, I recommend it with resounding enthusiasm! You won’t be sorry!
Tonight, my husband, a friend & I tried a new area restaurant, “Taste of Persia”. It was absolutely fantastic! It exceeded my expectations. I’ll recommend the dishes we had, but first let me tell you that the table’s chairs we sat in were the most comfortable restaurant chairs I’ve ever sat in! The atmosphere was comfortable & family oriented. The staff was very friendly. It appeared that they were enjoying their job(s), which is a nice change from many establishments these days. I ordered the Burberry Chicken & Rice plate. The chicken literally fell off the bone & was seasoned perfectly! I love the Persian rice that comes with it! Both my husband & our friend ordered the Chenje Soltani. It was 2 skewers of filet mignon, beef & lamb, served with cooked tomatos, Persian rice & garnished with lime. They both thought it was amazing! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fresh, hot, home-made, delicious meal. I will suggest it to all of my friends & we will most...
