There have been a few times now that I have visited this place and had to stand and wait to be acknowledged. Sometimes the cashier just looks at me (but never says anything… now even “how can I help you?” I find myself having to ask “are you ready to take my order?” Weird customer service but I have chalked it up to our cultural differences.
But today the cashier simply ignored my presence. Instead she continued to keep her head down looking at the screen on the register then writing on the receipts of the “already packaged” to go bags. After watching her go from reading the screen on register to writing on the receipts of the to go items 4 times (all without even acknowledging me or saying “give me just a second) … after standing there for a few minutes, I quietly walked out feeling like they didn’t want to serve me.. only to hear her say “oh ” as I opened the door to leave.
Do better!!! I love the culture in this area but I will not spend my hard earned money in places where I don’t feel welcomed.
PS. I placed a to go order for a bowl of pho a while back only to get home and there was a rubber band in my pho! Called back and was told they forgot to take it off the basil/vegetables… and yet I still gave them another chance. ...
Read moreI have come here often. I came here today and I see they changed the entire staff and possibly the recipes? The Vermicelli noodle bowl is no longer what it is. the ingredients were mostly different. the chicken was not char-grilled, no herbs, noodles over cooked, no lime, peanuts were not toasted or chopped, (chunks of romain lettuce?? everything is supposed to be julienned. no chili no cucumber no Daikon, i don’t know if the carrots were pickled,. no cilantro. no basil no herbs. the sauce… the sauce doesn’t taste like how it’s supposed to taste. it was more like a bland chipotle bowl than a vermicelli noodle bowl. the man in charge seemed passive and unwilling to train. you might as well take this dish off the menu if you’re not going to make it correctly. it was my favorite item and y’all ruined it. what’s the point of advertising Vietnamese flavor if it’s not there. they also use to play fun music but every song was Reggaeton. which is fine I like that but the change in menu, the atmosphere… it’s not what it was. not interested in coming back if I want bubble tea I can get that anywhere else. I will stick to Vui's Kitchen...
Read moreIt must be certain people that receive this friendly service because that was not my experience. My daughter wanted pho and boba and since this place was close with good reviews I decided to bring her. The girl taking my order was not friendly and I wanted to ask her what I did wrong since her attitude had me feeling like I had done something to her other than show up with my 11 yo daughter. When the same person that took my order brought out the pho I smiled and said thank you she avoided eye contact and said nothing. The pho was delicious and I loved every aspect of it and my daughter couldn't quit raving about her boba drink. I would love to frequent this place but I don't like feeling unwelcome in an establishment. I may try it again, hoping that it was just an off night for the cashier....I may just go where I know I'll feel welcome. I'm mad that I spent $45+ with this place to receive that kind...
