Soy Cubano, located at the Wash, offers a delightful Cuban culinary experience that is sure to satisfy your taste buds. Having recently visited for the second time, I can confidently say that this take-out and outdoor dining gem exceeded my expectations.
The star of the show is undoubtedly the food â a tantalizing array of authentic Cuban flavors that left me craving more. Each dish I sampled showcased a remarkable freshness, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, and considering the delectable taste, the prices felt entirely reasonable.
The menu boasts a variety of options, and from my experience, every choice was a winner. The culinary mastery behind each dish is evident, making it some of the best Cuban cuisine I've enjoyed in quite a while.
Despite the tight parking situation, the overall experience at Soy Cubano is one I'd gladly repeat. The inviting outdoor setting enhances the dining atmosphere, allowing patrons to savor their meals al fresco. If you're a fan of Cuban cuisine or simply in the mood for an exceptional culinary adventure, Soy Cubano is a must-try. The only thing that stopped me from giving it a 5/5 was the dumpster at the entrance that stinks in the summer time and really affects your experience overall. But once youâre settled in inside, specially on a good weather day, itâs lovely â plenty of options to choose from for you and your friends/family, everyone can get what their heart desires, instead of fighting to find one place that works for all; itâs dog-friendly so bring your dogs đ¶â also, did I mention, you can keep ordering and maybe even do a combination â I got jasmine boba tea from one place, appetizers from another, entrĂ©e from another, you get the gist. My favorite has to be the east side pho đ place â even though I went there to check out SS Gai, I ended up trying so many other places. Soy Cubanoâs Cuban Sandwich is great, SS Gaiâs fried chicken is good, east side phoâs coconut curry noodles are great, Peruvian chefâs tacos were not great, havenât tried the quesadilla place yet and the cocktail place bay 6 was closed both the days I visited. The Vietnamese place had garlic fried rice sold out on both days i went.
Thereâre two parking spots there, if you donât get one in a hundred chance lucky, then find street parking on the same street.
Why wouldnât I go...
Read moreJust had a late lunch here with my sister for the first time. I got the gai tang and 2 Thai iced teas from S.S. Gai and she got a pork noodle dish from the Vietnamese street food place. Both dishes were very greasy and not worth the money. My chicken was supposed to come with vegetables. I got a slice of cucumber, slice of carrot, two jalapeno slices and two lettuce slices. The sticky rice was in a plastic zip bag and was not even warm. The Chicken was very greasy, I ate what I could. My sister's noodle bowl was also very greasy and barely warm. She only finished half and we left hungry. Our Thai iced teas were watery, not filled to the top and I'm not sure what they put in them because I could barely taste oatmilk. I cannot recommend and I definitely will not be back. Yuck.
Also, I agree with other reviewers that the parking here absolutely sucks. Park across the street behind the vintage store. Or better yet, Save yourself wasted money and go eat...
