Edit: They made it right as best as they could so I appreciate the follow-up and customer service. Changing from 1 star to 3 to account for them resolving this. Otherwise the nail experience alone was worth 1 star.
Came here for my engagement photo nails and now I'll have to find a salon out of town on my engagement trip in two days to remove and redo them before our photos. Not only did the nail tech make my cuticle bleed on my ring finger, but she cut into two of my other fingers with the nail file. These cuts are painful and are preventing me from being able to get them removed and redone before I leave for my trip. On top of that the French tip is really poorly shaped and doesn't even cover my natural nail growth. It looks absolutely awful and definitely not acceptable for engagement photos. My appointment was rushed and squeezed into 45 minutes when their site says a French tip takes 65 minutes. Not as big of a deal as everything else mentioned, but I wasn't asked if I wanted clear or pink for the base, only if I wanted white tips. I would have preferred to be given options for the base as well and would have chosen pink over clear to help hide nail growth. Not that it would have mattered though because brand new they are showing nail growth. Super disappointing and upsetting. I found myself holding back tears after having the opportunity to look at the more closely at home. This is not what you want your nails to look like for an important, once in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been to CURED before and enjoyed it, the atmosphere is great and the salon itself is clean and beautiful. This last time was the worst experience I've ever had. I booked a Gel Mani, CURE All Pedi and a Gel soak off service. The young woman did not soak off my Gel, she FILED it off. Which left my nails in pain and thin. My cuticles were not trimmed nor the skin around my nail, I did not even get lotion or cuticle oil. The Gel was already peeling up because it was painted on so thick and was bubbling and the sides were exposed and not even painted. I called as soon as I left because I felt so awkward and did not want to make a scene and they were so nice to schedule a redo for the Mani at no cost. I will say the receptionist are the nicest, sweetest humans I have ever met. However when I came back for the redo the nail tech, who was a manager, seemed very confused and had a horrible attitude the whole time, making me feel like it was my fault. Three days later yet again my Gel is coming off and my nail tore off below my nail bed and hurts. My pedi was not what I paid for. Again not cuticle trim, no Vitamin E treatment and no massage, even though it was suppose to be "extended" When I pay $95 I expect to get my monies worth and now my beautiful strong, long nails are the worst they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI rarely get to the nail salon anymore but wanted to clean up my nails for Motherās Day. This was my first time coming hereāmy service was fine, just definitely not a spa-like experience to feel pampered (wasnāt offered a drink, tech didnāt introduce herself to me, services were very fast/basic). Personally I didnāt feel like the experience matched the services advertised but maybe thatās just my inexperience. What really made this a bad experience was the tech berating a woman who sat down next to me who wasnāt quite sure how to explain the shape she wanted. The tech bullied this poor woman into tears, to the point where people had to step in and get her a new tech. As soon as the woman moved chairs, the tech used a slur multiple times in reference to the client. Needless to say, I canāt support a local business thatās ok treating their clients that way =\
*UPDATE: the owner called me first thing this morning to apologize, hear more about my experience, and explain a series of steps sheās taking to make the situation right for everyone involved. I really appreciated the conversationāshe seemed genuinely invested in making things better and was adamant that what happened wasnāt ok/wouldnāt...
