Everything could have been terrible and I would still come back because of Sydney alone. My daughter and I are in town from Ohio and saw crepes and books next door to each other and knew we had to stop in. I’m so glad that we did!
I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but Sydney is truly exceptional and I felt at the very least I could recognize that. The customer service she provided is not something you come across often. From the time we stepped inside until we left, Sydney treated us like long lost friends.
First, I knew I needed coffee, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted. Sydney let me try the cold brew before making my choice and that’s not something anywhere else has ever done for me before. And I drink A LOT of coffee!
While dealing with my indecisiveness, my daughter noticed a tiny dinosaur sitting on the register. Sydney quickly told her she could have it, which left her little 6 year old heart feeling so full that she spent the rest of the day talking about it.

Read moreWhat a discovery this place is! Lunch in East tends to be a selection of less than craveable experiences. What a delight to say that this is in fact craveable. A thoughtful menu of curated traditional crepes (I got the lemon and sugar one) as well as a fresh take on galettes filled with savory and customizable options. Somewhere between a wrapped frittata and a quiche but somehow better than both of those? This is how I would describe it. You go to brunch and you don't' know what you want. You really want pancakes but the frittata sounds amazing too. Normally you leave disappointed that you didn't get pancakes, but not here! You get the best of both! Everything tastes fresh and thoughtful. Oh, I didn't even mention the farro salad, which was filling and delicious with a bright acidic dressing that was on the edge of making you pucker but ultimately just made you want...
Read moreThis place is nothing short of magical, full stop. Tucked underneath Switchyards on Chapel, The Yellow Table is a little neighborhood gem that makes you feel as though you might have just stumbled into a Parisian dream. It's cozy and warm, impeccably and thoughtfully designed; the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is gorgeous, fresh, delicious, and dare I say HEALTHY. We've been waiting for these salads! The crepes and galettes (hello, gluten-free people! you too can partake!) were the gifts I didn't know I needed. Come for lunch with a friend or a solo treat outside on the patio—you will be transported and delighted...
