I never give Google reviews but I just had to. I love Acai bowls specifically tropical smoothies’ bowls. I went inside and the vibe was off. The guy and lady were sitting down and didn’t say anything , just starred at me. I acknowledged them and that’s when one of them got up to take my order. He took my order with an attitude. He finished my order and handed me my bag like he was disgusted , rolled his eyes, and walked away. I went to my car and opened my bowl. The Acai at the bottem was frozen solid. At first I waited a few minutes and it was still solid. So I went back inside. They knew they messed up and answered my question before I could ask. I said this is frozen solid , how am I suppose to eat it ? Both of them became defensive and said it was because I ordered a frozen item to go and so I have to wait 5-10 minutes to eat it. I’ve never heard of that nor have I had a bowl like that from tropical smoothie. It’s currently been 10 minutes and it’s still frozen solid to where I’m cutting the pieces of the bowl with my spoon. It doesn’t even taste the same as the past bowls I’ve had. Also let me mention that when I brought it back inside, he took it and tried to put it in the microwave , WITH THE FRUIT, HONEY, AND EVERYTHING ELSE ON TOP. I told them why can’t they just remake the bottem part and put the toppings on top he said it was impossible. We used to come here every week for months, and while the customer service was garbage and the bathrooms never had TP (if it was even open at all) we enjoyed the product.
However, after using THEIR TS APP- not a random delivery app- the driver never brought our food and just listed it as delivered. This owner:
lied and said she couldn’t process refunds even though the app customer service says she is responsible for it
wouldn’t replace the order for free to make up for the FORTY DOLLAR LOSS
refused to let us use all of our rewards points for an order to replace the order we lost.
refuses to teach her employees how to process refunds so nobody can refund orders when she isn’t there. We had to come back THREE TIMES to see her in person.
brought up skin color when we claimed the driver never brought our order to our house.

Read moreThey are consistently on the ball for carry out. I ate in the store recently & it was busier than they could handle. It took the length of us eating our food for our smoothie to come out (intended to be eaten with our meal). But what upset me was that I couldn’t get a refill on my cup of water because it’s counter service & they were in the middle of their lunch rush. Any cafe with counter service ought to have a water cistern, decanter, whatever you want to call it (this is also where you can put extra napkins, straws, etc.. so customers can self serve). It was not a pleasurable experience drinking out of the 6 oz styrofoam cup they gave me & then eating the rest of my meal without anything to drink because their staff was occupied. I’m not asking for table service, but consider your customer’s dine in experience & I don’t believe this Tropical smoothie cafe cares to.
