It was my 1st time here but definitely will be my Last! A 1 star review is being overly generous...

The second we got seated, a few plates of pickles, cabbage slaw and hush puppies they called "Fixin's" were placed on the table and we were told it's unlimited (concept similar to Olive Garden's bread sticks or Korean banchan) and I thought it was a cool concept although I wasn't interested in personally eating it.

The type of food served here is not my usual cup of tea (Catfish is not Kosher) and likewise my child wasn't interested in it either. But I was curious about the gator and frogs legs so decided not to order my own entree and we placed only 1 entree called the $26 Bayou Platter. The server said she'd have to charge my child and I, a $9.95 fee each for not eating. Irritated , I decided to order just dessert cos that I love. But she still said she had to charge the $20. When I questioned that policy, the Manager stopped by for a chat.

She explained the Fixin's (that I didn't want/like) were unlimited so that's what she had to charge for my daughter and I to sit at the table. In the menu it says "If you want just the Fixin's you can get it for $9.95" but I didn't yet was going to get charged for it bcos the POS system automatically adds it in. So basically, even if only 1 person is eating, anyone else would be charged and we were going to have to pay a $20 penalty fee for keeping the person company bcos of the "unlimited" pickles, cabbage and hush puppies, even if no one else wants it!

I told her, as a Mgr she could override the POS and she said she couldn't which is an obvious lie. So I offered another suggestion - change it from Party of 3 to a Party of 1 and that'll fix the ridiculous false advertising policy and she wouldn't do that either! Now we're getting somewhere.... Bcos now I know it isn't about the Fixin's anymore but a company that participates in false advertising and price gouging. This had nothing to do with the service of the Server as she wasn't the problem. She was doing the bidding of terrible upper management*

The unlimited "fixings" are very common like in Olive Garden's soup or salad or unlimited biscuits/cornbread at Cracker Barrel.... At Olive Garden if you just want dessert or just a drink or an appetizer, you can order just that, while others get their entree with unlimited soup or salad.

In this case I would have loved just the Gumbo but that didn't count according to the Mgr's definition of entree. Again FALSE ADVERTISING! So I ordered the $12 country fried steak and my child ordered a kid's meal just to avoid the arbitrary $9.95 price gouging policy.

I surely did say "Whoa" but not for the right reason and rest assured I will warn everyone to stay away from...

WhhhooooWeeee!! I love Uncle Bud so much I hope he’ll adopt me 😊 This was my second time here and each time gets better. My first visit was about a month ago and we had the catfish platters with all the Fixings. Hands down it’s the best I have ever had in all on Nashville. ( unless I cooked it ) Tonight I had, all you can eat Fried Chicken!! Thursday is all you can eat Catfish. I can’t even finish what order so I haven’t had a chance to order extra pieces of fish or chicken. With all entrees all the fixings you can eat come with it. Bowls of Cole slaw, white beans, Hush Puppies, Sweet white onions, pickles spears and 🤔hummm did I forget anything??? All the staff make You feel like you went to your Aunt and Uncle’s for dinner. Severs there are top notch! Sabrina was our ser this evening and she is awesome! I would highly recommend this restaurant. You will NOT be disappointed. You may have to be on the waiting list but you can always check out the waiting time and sign you name in on Yelp. 🤫let’s keep it our secret. Bon appétit!

UPDATE-Wow .....I have to Yelp this again. Well because it's been a few changes. Adrian you are the BEST SERVER that I seen in a while. Good service is like fishing. Sometimes you catch a good fish and the ones that aren't any good you may throw them back! Food here is always delicious and flavorful. I met the manager today and she is nice as can be. And as crowded as it is, she has time to speak to all her customers. We had a fat catfish platter and a chicken platter. Sundays, you can have all the chicken you want to eat 15 bucks you can have catfish all you can eat every day for $24.99 (whole catfish) or Fillets $22.95. Oh yeah, white beans, coleslaw, pickles, hush puppies, and onions are all you can eat. I love this place. Ambiance is great for families. The only complaint I have is how much weight I have gained from eating...

The servers are great, and the service is great. Food is always hot, fresh and gets to the table quickly. The servers are always attentive and knowledgeable, and able to answer any questions you may have about the menu, restaurant and more. The building that they have the restaurant set up in is unique. It has a homey feel that welcomes you and makes you feel comfortable. It would be even better if the building could be picked up and moved to another location with a view that was just as unique as the restaurant itself and the building. I only say that because the place has windows lining most the entire space so it obviously would be that much more amazing if it were set up in a different area rather than where it sits now...which unfortunately only alots for a view of the buildings around it, parking lots and roads... This doesn't count against it, as they certainly make up for this by keeping your attention indoors with their stunning service and food. My choice for giving it only 4stars was because the menu is lacking in choices for anyone who doesn't like seafood or the other "out of the ordinary" options on the menu. Also, their choice to serve some side items as an appetizer instead of the usual bread option you get at most other places is a great idea, however it would be nice to have some kind of choice between certain items instead of getting ones that you may not like, thus being wasteful. All in all, I plan on adding this place to the list of places we eat at regularly. I can't believe I put off trying it for so long, I was definitely...

I placed an order on May 4, 2025 with DoorDash for delivery from Uncle Bud’s in Lebanon, Tn. There was no pace to request condiments, so I called DoorDash for assistance. I was told they were closed and would open at 11:00 AM. I called at 11:02 and spoke with a female and made my request. I was told it would be taken care of. My order arrived and all three items were in one container. No condiments!!!! Still ok until I realized this food was not fresh! It had not been cooked that day? The pieces of fish were hard. The Oysters were all dried out. I even requested that they not over bread, or overcook them. I took photos immediately and called DoorDash. Then I called Uncle Bud’s to speak with the Manager on duty. I was told by a person who would not give her name to take the matter up with DoorDash. I spent $85.65 to receive old food and horrible Customer Service from Uncle Bud’s in Lebanon, Tn. Is this what customers should expect or just an off Sunday? I have no idea what all of these little pieces in the box are! Uncle Bud’s , This would never have been acceptable in the days before!!! Sara
