Waffle House — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I went to this waffle house this morning and the experience was by far the worst I've ever had in any establishment. Ordered fried eggs over easy which means the YOLK should be runny NOT the white. When my husband Broke the eggs (which you could already see was not cooked all the way they were so undercooked) there was so much white that came out with the yolk it was inedible by safety standards alone, but absolutely disgusting to look at. Since they were on the hash browns, those also were inedible. Waited until the waiter James came back over and told them. Rather than saying anything to the effect of I'm sorry let me have that fixed, he becomes confrontational saying well that's how you ordered them and that's how we're trained to cook them. We tried to tell him that is not safe to eat. We even tolerate a tiny bit of runny whites, but that was not over easy, that's undercooked. His attitude the entire time was abysmal. I didn't take a pic bc I walked out while he and my husband engaged in a Google battle over how to cook eggs. Yes they were at some point making the plate fresh along with the waffle I had forgot to order and I walked out it was such an embarrassment so I didn't take a pic. We did not want anything after that. I've done my time on the other side of that bar at waffle House. It may have been many years ago but NO that is not the way it's trained and again it's a risk for salmonella. Finally you can let James know or if he happens to ever see this I just want him to know this: From the moment we sat down you had a snotty attitude, even when pointed to the sugar my husband asked for because he didn't see it. You may have had a bad morning or maybe you're just that way in general. But for me, I have a lot of anxiety and only recently started trying to deal with it and force myself to live a normal life. It's kept me pretty isolated and to myself for a very long time. That man I was with is constantly trying to get me out to do things and today was quite literally one of the few times recently I got up and was excited, but you effectively ruined that moment. Going forward I'll take that piece of advice you gave my husband when he left and stay at home and eat. That's what I normally do anyways, I just finally didn't feel like cooking for myself. I hit the 4 star by mistake... hash brown bowl with steak strips..Sounds good huh? Hash browns were ALMOST completely burnt to a crisp. Meat had good flavor but like leather. So hot when served I had to cool it for about 3 minutes stirring which only cracked the burnt hash browns. The waitress then went and sat at the bar on a stool with what appeared to be her keys and starred at me until I presumed she was waiting on me to leave. Thinking this I got a 20$ bill from my wallet to pay for a 12$ tab. I handed the money and check to the waitress and she said "THANKS" keeping my full 20$ and not offering me anything else to drink. After realizing she was stealing my 8$ I asked the bus boy for a refill to drink and go because by this time the waitress who was staring me down went to the other end by the registar so I couldn't ask for my change. When the busboy offered very willing I said Get 2$ from her for a tip because she kept my 20$... I was at the hospital down the road with a very sick son and had NO choice because i had NO time but to leave ... NOT acceptable..table was dirty I had to wipe myself with napkins then I asked for a wet cloth to clean myself...when she within minutes served me my burnt offering I had to ask for silverware SMH NOTACCEPTABLE ...

BURNT FOOD AND...

I just left this waffle house this morning, trying to order some food. The guy working behind the counter looked at me. He was having a conversation with someone who had already been served and was finished. Just looked at me kept talking Proceed to check out another customer and then looked at me again. Then ask me a couple minutes later have someone taking your order. As if he is not the only person standing there. You have not been looking at me and ignoring me. I said no. That was it no response from him. Then a white gentleman walks in behind me grabs a tissue, blows his nose sits down next to where I am standing. He hands him a drink and a straw. I was like really. Was it because I am black. I told him that is ok and walked out. Then he asked are you sure, as if. You are concerned now. Where are peoples morals and values. What happened to love thy neighbor as thyself. This is the volunteer state. People are just rude, ok with being rude. Then look at you like I dare you to say something. Then as a black woman, I will get labeled as the angry black women. Just because I spoke up about how this man treated me...
