Imagine having several days of hard work and finally having that much awaited one day off. Waking up optimistically, getting a shower, the cool weather helps set up for a good mood for brunch. On my days off, I like to explore local food joints, (It is also a good way of supporting local businesses). Having seen 4+ stars for this cafe was encouraging, so I went ahead and decided to try it. Feeling that good vibe of having a short but satisfying sleep and having appetite for a sumptuous meal, my day started fine until I sat and waited for my order. There were only three tables occupied as I came in and I was the only one ordering at the time. I took a good spot and received the coffee I ordered. About four or five tables were occupied and slowly there were getting their orders. Waiting patiently, my coffee turned cold. I was looking at the waitresses, making eye contact anticipating my food to be served and instead seeing the same dish I ordered being served to those people who came 15-20 minutes after I sat down. I am not the bombastic kind that makes a scene. Also, I was hesitant to ask for my food and the staff mistaking it as being too needy and be at their mercy and hoping that in good faith they will not spit on my food. I should not have that feeling, as if I am begging for food that I paid for. No customer should feel that way. I was highly disappointed. I ended up waiting in line again for another 10 minutes to get my refund, having order number still on the table, there was nothing served within that time period. I spent almost 45 minutes for nothing. I got my money back. As I turned around to head out, hungry and frustrated, I just burst into tears. ;( I hope it will not happen to any body else. As I have read the other reviews, my issue is not an isolated case. I have read a lot of good reviews for good food but that just can't make up for...

This is a Mom and Pop's French/Vietnamese style diner, but don't let the Mom and Pop denomination fool you or turn you off. It is very well kept and decorated. The staff is welcoming and polite. It has an inviting atmosphere and well worth a visit. Matt, the owner, approaches new faces with zest and likes to hear how they learned about the restaurant. He sat with us for a minute, it wasn't very busy when we were there to hear what we thought about the place. His other half is the Vietnamese influence and, wow! Does that influence come through in a delicious way through the food.

The nutmeg on the hot chocolate is just right. The hot chocolate and bread are so good they can be a meal on their own.

The salad is simple, but good. The dressing was a type of vinaigrette, it has a hint of sweetness but not enough to overpower anything else. I asked and was told it is made in house.

We had the Beef & Eggs. The beef was really tender and well seasoned, no BBQ or creole or anything southern, it is a delightful change. The dressing seems made in house also, it didn't taste like any major brand seasoning I've had. It reminded me of Vietnamese dishes I've had.

The eggs cooked on the skillet where they were presented. They cooked well, except that the top layer of one egg failed to cook thoroughly. I personally don't mind this, I think others might. I think it's neat that the eggs cook on the skillet when they are laid.

The fruit very waffle was a really good shade of brown and quite fluffy. The fruit on it was very fresh and firm.

I would Definately eat here again and look forward to it. This was a...

So... I don't know where to start. This place was not BAD really... It was just... Depressing. We walked in and I felt like the whole place including the people in it were straight out of like 1991... Then we have the empty glass food displays (displaying a lovely assortment of dust particles).

We wandered around unsure where to go. We finally were looked at by an employee behind a counter and she stared at us until WE asked what we are supposed to do and she said "Sit anywhere".

The waitress was superrrrr depressing. Not rude, just sad. And just when I thought it couldn't get any sadder they brought our food. It was honestly so bland I prepare more imaginative breakfasts at home (actually not kidding I'm a decent cook).

We left this place chuckling because it was so off-putting. Side note: we waited so long for the waitress to actually come over we thought we may need to go up and order at the counter - which turned out not to be the case.

Owners: PLEASE remove the old food displays that are empty and dusty... Such a bad...

Looking for somewhere new for breakfast. Unassuming from the outside we stumbled upon Bon Appetit. Says order from the counter but the staff suggested we select a table and they would bring us menus. Solid breakfast selection with the bonus of a fresh croissant. Hubz enjoyed chicken fried steak with sunny eggs and sourdough toast. While the steak was thin, it was wide and tender. Sourdough was thick and perfectly toasted. I had the standard bfast and upgraded to almond croissant which was served warm. Coffee was rockstar. Nothing fancy but a good solid cup of Joe. Soda is served in bottles (not fountain) fyi. It’s a solid breakfast with excellent service. I’d love to add a few touches to the inside like little crystal chandeliers and brighten up tables and chairs to complement the bright and kind persona of the staff but that’s just decor. We will be back. I hope this family owned business continues to thrive!

This was my first time coming here and I left before eating. This review is not about the food itself but about the prices. See pictures attached for proof. So the menu items online versus in the cafe are VERY different. The prices are almost double what they used to be for breakfast. The Bon Appetit and Original used to be 8.99 and 6.99 respectively. The Bon Appetit is now 12$ And the original is 7.99. You no longer get the waffle as a choice on the original either. I asked for it instead of toast on the original and was told my new total would be 11$. I get that price increases are the new norm but this just felt excessive for a waffle. I will not be returning. Sorry for the inconvenience and bad review.
