TLDR: Don’t order the vegan doughnuts! Not worth it/ overpriced. Also, poor customer service.
My boyfriend and I were very disappointed in our experience here. We were excited they offered vegan doughnuts, and walking in all their displayed and pictured items looked delicious. When we asked questions about the vegan doughnuts we got very vague and confusing answers from the employees. Once we decided on a few doughnuts, the employee who took our order stated that the vegan doughnuts are “made fresh to order”. We figured we’d have to wait awhile then, but for delicious looking hot freshly baked doughnuts… sounded well worth it! Not even 5 minutes later she walked out with a small box. Excitedly we sat out on the patio to dig in. Opening the box we discovered these sad looking things, that pale in comparison to all their pictured and displayed doughnuts. When we took a bite our doughnuts were very cold, like they were pulled straight from the fridge. Even the glazes were ice cold, but yet they were extremely runny. We decided to go home and heat them up to see if they tasted better that way. (They didn’t btw.) When trying to exit the patio the door wouldn’t open. I had to get another customer’s attention to open the door. I mentioned to an employee that their patio door was still locked, she replied “oh no, it’s broken actually you have to use the other door” and pointed to the opposite end of the building. A simple sign on the door that directed you to the other end would’ve been nice…
Overall- unpleasant experience and we will most...
Read moreI can not speak about the doughnuts, but I visited this business for the first time today. I called ahead to ensure they had seating and wifi.
Upon arrival, I purchased a Vanilla Latte. Since I spend lots of time in coffee shops, I have to rate the Latte served to me at this establishment low. After attempting to log into the wifi to prepare for my scheduled meeting at this location, it showed "no internet." I mentioned it to the two counter persons and up when the hands, and they replied, "If it is now working, you are putting in the wrong password. I assured them that I was entering the password correctly, and another customer who overheard the conversation mentioned that she could not get internet either. One of the counter persons said they would reboot the router. I did not feel they cared about the issue and seemed bothered. A while later, after being unable to connect, I visited the counter and said, "I just want to follow up on not being able to connect to the internet." The counter person said again that I was probably using the wrong password.
I asked if I could speak to the manager and was told there was no manager there that day. I gave up and decided not to waste more time at this establishment. It was clear by their choice of words to communicate with customers that they were either poorly trained or not trained in customer service.
I had to find a new location for my meeting and contact the person I was to meet to change location. To sum it up, bad coffee and lousy...
Read moreAdmittedly, I didn’t want to like these doughnuts for three reasons: 1.) I had to drive like 15 minutes from my home because my doughnut shop decided to close early on a Saturday [insert expletive]; 2.) Parking was a little intense; and 3.) I like things to look like the things they are supposed to be—i.e. circle doughnuts with a hole in the middle. In fact, when I walked inside and saw the doughnut selection, I was put off because their doughnuts look like decorated chunks of dog excrement—respectfully. I had to step back and take a good look, but I finally decided to grab the coconut cream filled doughnut. They young women behind the counter seemed friendly enough and attentive; the overall atmosphere was warm and there was ample seating—though I definitely didn’t stay. The doughnuts are a little pricey, but they are sizable. When I got home I ate breaky and then slapped my doughnut on the plate. I finally got a proper look at it and was a bit surprised. So, it’s not a traditional doughnut—rather a cro-nut (croissant and doughnut baby). Now, I LOVE croissants, so I was already excited after I realized what I was working with; add the coconut filling and 🤸🏾♀️. This thang is so good I don’t think I should return. No joke. Open ‘til 7pm and THIS good?! That’s an addiction waiting to happen. I might have to make this a “only when a friend is visiting” place because I’m sitting here legitimately tempted to drive back to get...
