Bread Deluxe Bakery — Restaurant in National City

They have really delicious breads. The problem is the cashier is very unsanitary, I’ve seen it many times. If you get bread that she (cashier) needs to put in a bag herself, she grabs the bread with her hand. She’s using gloves but doesn’t remove it while holding money. Why can’t she at least use tongs when grabbing the bread. I went there Saturday morning around 9am 7/24/21 to buy pandesal and saw she did this again today to the lady in front of me. I really wanted to say something but doesn’t really know how. I only buy pandesal here since I saw that because she doesn’t put the pandesal herself in the bag but now that saw that again today I’m thinking of not buying anything anymore from here. I’ll never know for sure you know maybe she is the one putting the hot pandesal as well in the bag just ahead of time. If she can be unsanitary in front of customer, imagine what she can do if no one is watching. I don’t write review a lot but since I dont know how to tell the cashier I’m hoping that if someone sees this maybe they can tell her or maybe the cashier or someone from that bakery will read this. Bread Deluxe Bakery always open late. They don't open on time and they don't sell real hot pandesal, it always a little warm, it almost cold. They should open at 5 a.m. everyday. Valerio always open real early. Competition is really tight. If the owner of this bakery want to stay in this kind of business, the owner should make some changes. When I crave for pandesal, this is my go-to place because their pandesal is light & fluffy. When I order it I always request for the lightest ones because they’re softer as opposed to the darker ones-they’re dry. So when I request a dozen of the lightest ones, for the first time in over 30yrs, I received the complete opposite…they were all dark except the 2 that were on top of the paper bag.
