My Go-To for an Amazing Buffet Experience! About $60 for Me, my wife and two kids under 5 years old.
I have to say, China Super Buffet in National City has really become my favorite Chinese buffet spot in San Diego County. From the moment I walk in, I'm always impressed by the lively, bustling atmosphere – it almost feels like I've stepped into a busy restaurant right in China, which I absolutely love for its authentic vibe! What always blows me away is the incredible variety of dishes they have on offer. Seriously, whether I'm craving my usual classic Chinese favorites, some fresh sushi, delicious noodle creations, or digging into their impressive seafood selection, they literally have it all. I've often thought to myself how vast the "variety and selection" is, with "every kind of food type you can think of." Their sushi is surprisingly good for a buffet, and I particularly enjoy the seafood options – those "marinated baby octopuses" and "mussels topped with melted cheese" are fantastic additions that elevate the whole all-you-can-eat experience. Beyond just the sheer number of options, I'm consistently impressed by how fresh and plentiful the food is. When I go during busy times (which seems to be most of the time, a good sign!), I notice the food is "frequently turned over," meaning everything is hot and tastes great. As one review I saw mentioned, "Everything was fresh and cooked well," and I totally agree. Their commitment to keeping things fresh really makes a difference in every bite. And let's talk about the prices – they are incredibly reasonable. For the amazing spread of food you get, I always feel like I'm getting fantastic value at China Super Buffet. It's truly "well priced," and when you combine that with the "great food and even better service," it's a no-brainer for me. It’s my ideal spot for a satisfying meal without having to worry about the cost, whether I'm bringing my family, friends, or just treating myself. Yes, it can get a bit crowded during peak hours, but to me, that just shows how popular and good it is. The staff are always working hard to keep the tables clean and my drink refilled, which makes for a really pleasant dining experience. If you're like me and you're looking for an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet that absolutely delivers on variety, freshness, and amazing value, I wholeheartedly recommend China Super Buffet. It's definitely a place where I know I'll "stuff myself with hot, tasty Chinese food" and leave feeling completely satisfied every...
Read moreFirstly, On the first wall there's a paper saying service dogs are welcome, yet when I bring my Service dog in(she's wearing her bright red service dog vest aswell) servers bombards me with the classic "dogs aren't allowed here, not even emotional support". I shown them the service dog ID to get rid of the misunderstanding. yet the main server there still insists its emotional support and calls in the manager because we won't leave. Once the manager arrived I've shown him the ID aswell and he tells the main server to sit us to a table. She sits us in the corner of the restaurant. Now I understand that some people have allergies to dogs an all that, but what really annoyed me was that I was told my dog was supposed to stay at the table while I get the food/use the bathroom. Thankfully my condition isn't super severe that leave my dog for a few minutes would be fine, but imagine for those who need their service dogs by their side all the time. This buffet is definitely not service dog friendly and would highly not recommend for those with severe disabilities.
Secondly, The Food was bland and weirdly colored. Especially the Lo main, it was a very bright orange with almost no flavor. The orange chicken was not even bite sized to the point I had to use a knife and the soups were room temperature and very salty. I stopped eating after my first plate an a side of soup, but the rest of my family had a lot of complaints about the dessert cakes, ice cream an cookies tasting horrible.

Read moreCook/dishwasher? Took fork out of my hand. I bought a to go box and started filling it up, there's 3 sections of the to go box and some of the mac and cheese fell Into another section. Instead of taking the serving spoon and touching my box which would be against health guidelines (not that they care), I took a clean fork from the fork thing and lead the mac and cheese into the right section. A lady staff member walked right next to me stared at me dead in the eyes and said something in another language on her walkie talkie, I walked to the other side to get some broccoli, still had the fork in hand incase I needed to push the brocoli back into the brocoli section since theres only big unweildly spoons and no tongs, and before I knew it the lady and a guy worker wearing black were yelling at me in another language and the guy ripped the fork out of my hand. I had already paid and just walked out. Insanity. If I was not allowed to touch a fork, let me know! Don't touch me! Ridiculously unprofessional. Have the lady up front explain that to goers cant touch silverwear, instead of just handing me a box and running my card. Had the fork removed from my hand...
