Stay away from this location. I recently learned that Wienerschnitzel restaurants are independently owned, and unfortunately, this location is the worst. Rating should really start at 0 and have negative stars!
I visited the Highland Avenue location in National City, CA, at approximately 11:24 PM and was met with an incredibly disappointing experience. I ordered two of the $6 deals, which included two chili hot dogs and one chili cheese fries. Not only was the food cold, but the service was the worst I have ever experienced as a Wienerschnitzel customer.
Two employees were present—a man named (Eric) at the register and a woman preparing food. When I received my order, Eric gave me only three mustard and three ketchup packets. I politely asked for a few more, only to be told there would be an additional charge of $1.
I asked how many extra packets I would receive for that charge, but Eric could not provide a clear answer and stumbled through his response. When I pressed further, he finally answered in a rude and condescending tone, saying: "I don’t know—whatever I pick up with my hand." That was enough for me to decline.
By then, my appetite was gone. The food was cold, the interaction was unprofessional, and I felt completely disrespected. I ended up throwing away the meal—nearly $20 wasted.
This experience was beyond disappointing and does not reflect the service or quality I have come to expect from other Wienerschnitzel locations.
I already escalated to corporate, but because they are independently owned, I don't think much can be done other than stop patronizing this store in 1825 Highland Ave, National...
Read moreWorst experience of my life. I don’t understand why anyone can think this is ok? I arrived in the drive thru a little after 3:30 pm Sunday with only 1 car in the drive thru. When i got there the car was already at the window so i was able to order very quickly. I asked for 3 cones 2 dipped 1 regular. I waited for exactly 31 minutes to get to the window. When i finally got to the window no one greeted me or anything i waited for 4 minutes still nothing so i rolled up the window to continue letting the ac run. 7 minutes after that i guess she was finally going to collect the money when she got there she saw my window up & got mad so she literally closed the pay window. She didn’t even give me a chance to roll down mine. So i rolled mine down completely and turned off the ac still nothing. Then i see a male associate take the food to the car behind me & collect his debit card when i only had ice creams!!! Like how ridiculous & petty can you be? My husband at this point was very irritated so he honked once just to see if someone would attend us since the “excuse me s” were not enough. When she came to the window rudely she said “we don’t have any dipped stuff for the cones” are you serious! You couldn’t tell me when i was ordering? I had to wait 44 minutes total all for you to say there was no dips? Worst establishment ever, you all need some classes in customer service & ettiquette because how you continue to have customers...
Read moreI ordered three of their 3 for $6 meals today (that’s two chili dogs, and a chilly fry) the older lady Deborah handed me three separate bags with the three specials in their own bags, I asked for mustard. She said it was already in the bag. I said OK thank you and I left. The problem was when I got home and looked in the side of the bags. I was missing one of the chili cheese fries from one of the specials and no mustard so I drove back to Wienerschnitzel and informed Deborah that I was missing a chili fry from one of my bags which she said, I was not because she packed them herself and continued to yell back in the kitchen that I was lying and trying to make up the fact that I’m missing a fry. As I tried to explain to her that indeed it was missing a fry and also the mustard which she had told me was in the bag. She then gave me attitude saying I never asked her for any mustard. Then would only give me three packs. I did end up getting my other chili cheese fry after I was adamant that I did not get it but the unprofessionalism coming from this lady looks bad on the establishment. She is very rude.
