Today was no different then any other time I've taken a chance on this place. I pulled into the drive thru at 6 pm (mind you they close at 11 pm) I ordered a 16 PC meal, the first thing the lady says is " let me check how many pieces of chicken I have" immediately A RED FLAG! I added the fact that I wanted the bucket spicy, she tells me they only have 8 pieces of spicy chicken RED FLAG NUMBER 2! ( Mind you it's only 6 pm and there are other cars behind me) that automatically left a bad taste in my mouth so I down sized from a 16 PC to a 12 PC. As I continued to order it went from bad to worse, they had no chicken sandwiches, no chicken tenders. After basically telling me they had nothing in stock, she had the audacity to ask if I wanted anything else! when I told her I was afraid to ask for anything else because it seems like they don't have much she caught an attitude and rudely TOLD ME "JUST PULL DOWN TO THE NEXT WINDOW" without even apologizing for the inconvenience or even giving me my total, I said "excuse me, hello?" I took a deep breath and pulled to the next window only to encounter another reduce employee who seemed even more careless then the lady who took my order, this guy didn't even know what my order was, and to be perfectly honest looked like he smoked something before work because he was clueless! I asked for hot sauce (since they had no spicy chicken) and jelly or jam for the biscuits, I GOT NOTHING!! At the end, the icing on the cake was, the. Lady who took my order in the beginning and was so rude was THE MANAGER!!! I then get home to sit and feed the family only to see dry chicken that looked like is was sitting there for a long time, stale fries, and a blob of a jelly substance that they tried to pass off as Mac and cheese SMH i had to order Chinese after paying almost $45. I then called customer service and the robot automated service kept giving me the run around. After 15 mins aggravation I was serviced by a "live rep." VIA TEXT MESSAGES. I complained to them and the first thing they try Todo is offer me $15 coupon LMAO that I immediately refused!! It's like they were trying to shut me up and brush me off like I was asking for a hand out or something free. The rep then suggested a refund, so after going back and forth for a like 15 mins I just gave in and said "you know what, I would like that refund" then she changed her tune from "we can give you a coupon, to we suggest a refund to THE PLACE WAS FRANCHISE OWN AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO APPROVE OR DENY THE REFUND lol what a joke. So I ended the conversation with "look I don't care if they approve it or not I understand the terms, just know you not going to shut me up with some bs coupon" this poor service and rude staff establishment has treated me like this one too many times BUT THIS IS THE LAST TIME!! THATS WHY I CHOSE TO WRITE THIS REVIEW!! Read moreReally sad… I gave them multiple tries even after they continued to mess up every single time I visited there but they lack the effort to improve in anyway at all so I finally give up. Would not recommend going to this Popeyes in anyway at all, better off going to the Waterbury one instead.
Every single visit I go to the drive thru, not exaggerating, I have to repeat my order about 3-4 times until they continue to not understand what I wanted. I then have to go to the window and explain it slowly to them even though I have a typical meal of 2 combos which isn’t complicated at all. I drive off to realize they still missed 1-2 items that I wanted, Forcing me to either go around through the drive thru again and tell them what was missing or just go inside and wait in a line that’s always behind. I am local to Naugatuck and was excited for the opening up Popeyes but every single time I’ve went here, it’s nothing but complications. After my last visit where I got a belittling attitude from the manager practically blaming me why my order was wrong after THEY messed up, and I just politely mentioned it to them, that was the last straw.
Most of the workers lack English proficiency so on top of it, ordering is more than a difficult task for me and most certainly them. Unless you’re bilingual, good luck having a seamless experience ordering.

If you order online the food should be ready when you walk in, well not the case, first we waited 15 minutes to tell them we had a order,( mind you there was only 1 person ahead of us) the workers at the register care about talking to there friends and taking care of them first even if they just walked in after you. They were yelling across the register to the tables where there friends were sitting and ignoring the fact that a ton of people were waiting for food for 1/2 hour. After a very long time we get the food, sorry to say everything was ice cold they messed up the order & the food is disgusting! We threw out our food & got pizza. Oh also DO NOT GET DRINKS the fruit punch taste of just water & the coke taste like its flat & when the coke comes out just make sure you take cover or bring a tower bc water leaks out the sides & your arms wind up soaked!!
