My wife and I went here and started with tea and water. She wanted water with lime..... So it began. No lime. Tea was good though. The chips and salsa came out. The salsa had no chuncks. It was like a watered down paste. One taste done. The verde sauce was mint green and looked like baby food. Two tries of that ,done. There was two different types of chips in the basket. Fresh tasting and good and then over cooked with a disgusting taste that was pretty much inedible. It was Russian Roulette in a chip basket , done with that. We then ordered queso to start. The cheese was dark and tasted like what you get on your nachos at the football game. It was nacho cheese out of a can. I ordered the Texan burger. She ordered the #2 taco ,cheese puff, two enchiladas. The burger, good bread, fresh lettuce onion pickles. Can't mess that up. The meat pressed , store bought no flavor. The #2. Haven't bit off the taco yet. Saving for the dogs. Cheese puff, tostada was stale with the can cheese on it. Enchiladas were ok. The order came with guacamole. My friends and I are huge fans of Romero's! From their breakfast menu to dinner, Tex-Mex to traditional, it's all good! And their green sauce?!!!!! Yes please lol The Poblano burger is my favorite, and has become a go to for my husband, as he's a chicken person lol. My best friend and I both love their club sandwich, and the biscuits and gravy in the mornings, outstanding!! It's a small, friendly place, where you can sit, relax, and not feel hurried or overly bothered by staff because they are trying to get you to hurry so they can seat someone else. It's got a great little diner feel. They have a small, but very good lunch buffet that is just right for a quick break from work and perfect for when you're just not sure what you want. It's always been very clean and our waitresses are so sweet and really get to know us (and were there a lot lol) and ask about our families etc. The owners will come out and sit and talk with you and are always friendly and love your feedback. This is my first time here. The place is clean and tidy. The hostess was very efficient in getting my drink and chips. I got the Dinner Deluxe. And WOW! This awesomeness showed up to my table in the right amount of time. On 3 large plates! And for 14 bux! Everything tastes very well good and super fresh. Very pleasant atmosphere.
