Molinari's — Restaurant in Neptune City

I literally had the most awful time at this horrible restaurant!!!! I have been coming here for 10+ years and had many parties here. Each time my family and I had welcoming service and enjoyed coming here. I called ahead to plan a surprise party for my mother's 50th birthday party. I told the owner about 20 people and what I wanted ordered. I wanted 4 pizzas and 4 pitchers of soda. I explained that if anyone else wanted to order they would have to pay separately. Friends showed up on time as scheduled and had my moms birthday cake. The owner confiscated the birthday cake and refused to let it be served, saying that they have their own desserts. I asked if she sold cake, she said no. So I offered to buy cannoli desserts from the restaurant so that they would not lose revenue. She utterly refused saying she would not do that for me and that there was nothing she could do. When I asked if we could at least sing happy birthday, she denied us. Many family restaurants allow that, so it's indicative of how unhelpful and uncaring this establishment is. I was appalled at the treatment my family and friends were given despite having come here for so many years. Our waitress delivered 4 pizzas and 4 pitchers to our table when we first got there, but after that never returned. Even when part of our group sat at a separate table and ordered their own meals there was a lack of service. The owner outright instructed the staff not to wait on our party and to ignore us, right in front of me. My party and I were so furious we all decided to leave. She then gave us the check that was completely ridiculous. She charged us $43 for 4 pitchers of soda!!!! Clearly the owners don't value loyal customers. I do recommend going to BRUNO'S who happily took in our party, let us order whatever we wanted off the menu, gave excellent service, and let us serve our cake! To top it all off, Molinari's called the cops on our party and sent them to Bruno's even after we had been gone for well over 20 mins..and yes the bill was paid, so there was no reason on behalf of their unaccomidating service. Completely unprofessional and disappointing. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE!!!

First off we were greated with "Do you have a reservation?" I responded with "Did we need one?" To which she responded by walking away. After a few minutes we were seated. We received our drinks promptly and placed our order. They brought over one appetizer for mozzarella sticks when we ordered 2. We told the runner we would need another one which she brought quickly. Not a big deal things happen. After that they brought a tiny piece of Italian bread for us to share. I'm talking 3 inches long for 4 people. After that never saw our waitress again. Finally another waitress stops at our table to see how we are doing. Mind you we have been here over an hour by this point. My husband responds we are still waiting for our entrees. They come right out. You can tell they have been sitting a while all the sauce on the dishes have a thin layer over them indicating they have been drying for a while. Food probably would have been good if they had served it when it was done. Quickly ate and left. Didn't feel like waiting another hour for dessert. Not what we were expecting at all. Probably will not visit there ever again. Not to mention the hall to the bathroom (which is right next to the counter) was exceptionally dirty leading me to wonder whow clean...

Wow... I use to come gere as a little girl and every once in awhile as an adult. They never had great customer service but what happened to a very close group of family like friends of mine is utterly horrid and I will never go back. It was our momma bear's 50th birthday surprise party that was even planned for by her children whom informed and planned with this restaurant. But when they got there everything went wrong and the staff was horrid to them. I dont know all the details but what I do know is that these people arent the type to complain or just ger up abd walk out. They are a big fun loving family that appreciates everything around them. Also I wouldnt have had to make a review if it werent for the sad fact that molinaris keeps deleting every bad review they get! Mine will prob be deleted too! But i know my tight group and we will not stop leaving bad reviews till everyone in neptune knows what a horrid establishment this really is! I only did 5 stars so that maybe they wont delete it right away. They have been pretty fast about this lately sooo ill prob be making...
