We’ve been going to Daisho for almost three years now, although we’ve tried several other places by invitation from friends, this one has remained our staple choice for their service, food, and atmosphere.
Thru the years the staff has remained stable, with consistent professionalism, quality of service, and polite/friendly attitudes. We have experienced no significant order issues, no spills or incorrect orders, nor any negative behavior on the part of the staff. We always know we’re in good hands at Daisho!
With the exception of one instance where a shell fragment from a shellfish was on a roll, the quality of the food has remained consistent and satisfying throughout our years. My wife and I have formed preferred item lists and found the menu to be broad and creative allowing sushi lovers of all variety to find a set of items they prefer without catering to anyone one select palette. We’ve sampled a majority of the menu over the years and found even items we would typically not enjoy in other circumstances are prepared and presented in a manner most appealing. Furthermore the flexibility of AYCE or standard ordering provides control over pricing.
The restaurant itself is somewhat traditional with a semi-low light environment, decorated mildly, compact and well laid out. The restaurant includes a projector and TVs generally showcasing sports in the background but does not play the sound, a choice conducive to a overall quiet atmosphere as guests do not have to speak over the ambient sounds. The restaurant is clean and organized. Although it features an outdoor patio we have never partaken, however the sushi bar provides rapid service as dishes can be passed directly to guests. Normally we choose a table...
Read moreWORST SERVICE EVER! I came here with my husband for dinner. We go to sushi places all over town, and decided to try this place. The waitress approached our table & we ordered 3 sushi rolls and a bottle of wine, a moment later the manager walked up to our table & told us we should order the all you can eat sushi instead, he said we would be getting more for our money, so we took his advice and ordered two all you can eat for $24.95 each. Never were we told we had to eat every last bit of sushi on our plate or they would charge us and additional $10 leftover fee. We have eaten all you can eat sushi at least at a dozen other sushi diners and NEVER did they charge us a fee for not eating everything. The manager came up to our table yelling at us (while using profanity) when we said that we should not have to pay the $10 fee because there was no signs anywhere saying you had to eat everything on your plate or there would be a $10 charge. I told him typically when I order all you can eat sushi they offer half rolls so you don't have much leftovers. Regardless, even when we had leftovers never did any place charge us for it. DO NOT EAT HERE. There are so many good sushi places in Las Vegas & Henderson, Daisho Sushi is bland at best, but whats worse than the poor quality of sushi is the horrendous service this place has. I have never had a employee, much less a manager treat me so disrespectful, he didn't care there were other people trying to eat and children were present while he used profanity. This place I imagine will be closed down soon because of the tremendously poor service, plus they do anything they can to rip off...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this place for years; since 2018 I think. They’ve always been my go-to. I’ve always brought guests from out of town here who talk about it even years after trying it for the first time, and always want to come back. Their quality has always been great along with the service. They changed a few things around recently and now their quality is EXCEPTIONALLY great. Everything I had today was superior melt-in-your-mouth quality fish cuts. I love escolar and highly recommend their super white nigiri as well as the Iron Man roll. I also had yellow tail and salmon nigiri. All consistently great and they topped the nigiri with extra garnish of sashimi of the same fish. 11 years in Vegas and I’ve tried a couple dozen places, and this place is a clear winner for the cafe style/bar sushi experience. The gyoza was done perfectly with a perfect one-sided sear, and the best I ever had, even in flavor. Please give this place a try if it’s quality you are looking for. What I personally love about the restaurant itself is that it’s not full of loud gimmicks to attract the younger crowd. The place is clean and quiet enough to have a conversation and everybody who works here is very friendly, and if you come alone the masters behind the bar love conversation. The options below don’t list everything I had today to recommend, but you will get top quality in...
