Gorilla Sushi I am not sure where to begin. My wife and I found ourselves looking for a late night meal and Gorilla Sushi popped up. Service is as good a place as any to begin. I can’t remember the name of our server and on the receipt it just said manager. He was incredibly friendly and had some great recommendations. The support staff around him were amazing. Each one was friendly and never let an empty plate sit on our table for too long. It was absolutely perfect and left us plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. I ate a lot since I wanted to get the most out of the AYCE. I ordered the: Korean Spicy Rice Cake (x2), Cheesy Pork Katsu, Spam Musubi, Korean Kalbi, Eel Nigiri, 4-Piece Korean BBQ Roll, Spicy Fried Chicken, and Screaming Orgasm. (1) Korean Spicy Rice Cake (x2): This really stood out to me. The little bit of spice and the flavor were great. It was the only item I ordered twice. (2) Cheesy Pork Katsu: A word of caution: The cheese is hot, so be careful. The flavor is great but, if you are in too much of a hurry, you might get burned. (3) Spam Musubi: One of my favorite things and I order it from any place that sells it. (4) Korean Kalbi: The presentation on this was great. It came on a sizzle plate which added to my overall enjoyment. (5) Eel Nigiri: it had a unique slightly charred taste. (6) 4-Piece Korean BBQ Roll: I loved this! The beef and the sauce on top of the rolls was something new for me. (7) Spicy Fried Chicken: I truly enjoyed this with some wasabi since it wasn’t spicy enough for me. (8) Screaming Orgasm: Ironically, this was the dish I finished with. It had great flavors and texture. My wife ordered the: Corn Cheese, Caterpillar Roll, Alligator Roll, Crunch Roll, and Takoyaki. This is her review on her items. (1) Corn Cheese: Perfection! One of my favorite dishes that I always order. (2) Caterpillar Roll: This was my first time ordering this and I was slightly underwhelmed. I liked it, but I didn’t love it. (3) Alligator Roll: This was not favorite of the rolls I ordered. They were so good! I would definitely order them again. The cream cheese was the best part. (4) Crunch Roll: This was pretty good and I would definitely order again, but maybe a half roll of 4 instead of the full 8. Also, the crunch on top of the roll can be a bit messy, so be prepared. (5) Takoyaki: This was my first time ordering this and again I was slightly underwhelmed. I don’t think I would get this again either. In conclusion, we had a great time and will definitely be coming back here.

I enjoyed myself! Had ayce, had a tremendous amount of food, including appetizers, 4 full rolls, and dessert. Everything was made to perfection, and came out quickly. Best sushi in town that I've tried, will definitely be back! Edit: April 2024 Unfortunately, I have had to downgrade this review due to the poor service I have received the last two visits. It was the same younger male waiter. He refuses to come back to the table periodically to check on myself or my party. Myself and my buddy had to go up to the managers station three times to get napkins, ask where our food was, and for more water. The restaurant wasn't even busy! The water situation was the tipping point for me because he asked if we needed water, we said yes please, then he took the water jug and never came back. Also, I was trying to order, and I guess I wasn't quick enough because in the middle of my order, he abandoned the table and went to the front to greet new people coming in. Didn't ask if we had any questions or concerns, even though I know he had to have seen we were both irritated. My last visit before last night was in January, I brought a buddy from out of town, and it was the same waiter, younger kid, male. He doesn't wear a name tag, so I couldn't tell you the name. He was pretty bad that night too, but at least the restaurant was busy, so there was somewhat of an excuse. Last night there were many empty tables. All of this to say, I probably won't be back, even though I almost have a whole stamp card filled out. I'm so disappointed and irritated. I have buyers remorse as a customer. I still tipped the kid 15%, even though I had to literally service my own table. Terrible!

2.5 stars. I have no idea why this place has as many good reviews as they do. We went here for the AYCE sushi but decided to go a la cart. I'm glad that we did because the rolls were just average. Nothing to write home about. They were busy on a Thurs night and we had to wait around 10 mins to get seated. There isn't much place to wait inside, so we stood outside. This isn't a big deal at night but if you come here during the day, it might be a wait in the heat. The ambiance is casual, sports bar with a few booths. We ordered the Call 911 roll, the Kiss of Fire, the Spicy salmon roll, the Takoyaki, the Unagi sushi and a Hot sake. We love spicy food so a lot of our decision-making was based on the number of spice stars next to the rolls. The Call 911, which had 5 spice stars next to it and was recommended by the server as their hottest, was nowhere close to being spicy. In fact, the Kiss of Fire, which had 3 stars, had more of a kick. The server ended up getting us some spicy Korean sauce to heat things up. The rolls overall were ok. Same thing with the spicy salmon roll. It was fine. Nothing to write home about. The Takoyaki and the Unagi were just disappointing. Unlike the usual Takoyaki, these were half balls instead of full balls. They also didn't have the bonito flakes and the octopus was more pureed than diced. The Unagi looked nicer than it tasted. Instead of tasting the rice and the eel as a combination, it amalgamated into one melted bite, which wasn't as fun. The sake was fine. All in all, this was a very average dining experience and we will look for alternatives when we come back to Vegas next time.

This place is really great. The AYCE was a little pricy, but definitely worth it. Food all tasted great. Even though it's primarily sushi, the small beef bulgogi plates were simply amazing. Very tasty. I have considered going there for AYCE and not ordering any fish, just plates and plates of the bulgogi.

There are a few items that they limit you to one per meal, and some are dinner-only (meaning go for lunch and pay dinner prices to get certain things) and some have both restrictions. As if it wasn't a hint, most of those items are the really good ones....

They are fairly generous with the nigiri and not having it be a tiny piece of fish with a giant thing of rice. Quite the opposite, in fact. The portions were generous, and the fish all seemed very fresh. There weren't a lot of the more "exotic" sushi selections present, but some here and there. Mostly it was the usual fare of tuna/salmon/etc. that most/all sushi places offer.

The reason I marked them down on Atmosphere is that I'm kind of over the super loud sports bar type of setting. I was never really into it. The place has TV screens around the room, tons of them next to each other near the (low) ceiling, so that any way you face, you can see SOMETHING on one of the TVs. Mostly, it's just LOUD inside.

As for the service, it's been hit or miss. Some of the servers are top notch and super nice and helpful and efficient. Some of them put in your order wrong so you get a plate of stuff you didn't order and they insist that you did. Other times they have forgotten I asked for something and never brought it. So with the service being hit-or-miss and the room being just LOUD, that's why the 4 stars instead of 5.

The bottom line is that this places is great for AYCE sushi/fusion, IF you can handle the noise and the service being good,...
