My family and I recently dined at IHOP, located at 7305 S Rainbow Blvd Suite 100, Las Vegas, NV 89113, where Melissa served us. Our typical reason for choosing IHOP is to make use of the free kids' meal promotion that comes with each paid adult entry. Initially, Melissa seemed disinterested in serving us, but we considered that she might be having a challenging day.
However, when it was time to settle the bill, we noticed that our receipt was charging us for the kids' meals. We politely brought this to Melissa's attention, to which she responded, "If you don't tell me before, I'm not going to put it on there. You guys already ate." We understood and requested an updated receipt that included the promotional free kids' meals. Melissa agreed but mentioned there would still be a charge for the kids' drinks, despite the menu clearly stating they were included. I requested the menu to verify, and indeed, the menu listed drinks as part of the meal.
We inquired about speaking with a manager, but Melissa informed us that the manager was only available in the mornings. Therefore, we decided to pay and address the matter with the manager in the morning. After a lengthy wait, Melissa returned with my card and a receipt folded under my card. Before leaving, I tried to engage in a respectful conversation with her about customer service.
As I exited, I realized I had not signed the receipt. I retrieved the receipt she had provided me, and it was the initial one, issued before swiping my card, lacking the signature and tip lines. I approached another staff member and requested the final receipt to verify the total amount charged. It was then that I noticed Melissa had added a tip for herself. I expressed my dissatisfaction and confronted Melissa in front of other customers regarding this unauthorized tip. I remained at a distance and allowed her fellow staff members to address the issue.
I promptly contacted the district manager, Nora, and explained the situation. She apologized, mentioning that Melissa had been with them for over a year and a half. Nora offered to refund the tip if it had already gone through but stated that the charge for the kids' drinks would remain despite the false advertisement. I expressed my disappointment with the staff's behavior and Nora's failure to rectify the situation and rebuild customer trust.
I would strongly advise against dining at this IHOP. If you do choose to dine there, please meticulously review your receipt and ensure you receive the complete after-charge receipt to avoid encountering...
Read morePoor service as if the workers don't care to work. It was 8:30pm, my son and I went for their happy hour special. Ordered 3 items on the menu, 2 Omelettes and a plate of onion rings and fries. The place only had 2 other tables occupied, yet the service took longer than usual and we eat there a lot. I asked the waitress and she blamed it on the cook. I asked when we were getting our order which she couldn't even answer. So we left and went elsewhere, never to return. There were 1 waitress and 1 waiter with only 2 tables occupied including ours. Very disappointing to experience a decline in service. I called to speak to the night manager, who was rude and unprofessional kept hanging up the phone because he didn't like what I had to say about the experience my son and I had that night. Oh well, I guess this IHOP on Warm Springs and Rainbow just lost a loyal customer. We've been going to this location ever since they opened. New faces all the time, turn over rate seems high. I would steer clear of this place if you value customer service. I was informed by a day shift employee that the manager that night was named Angel...Hey Angel, you have a job because your customers keep this location in business, remember that. If you can't handle criticism, then you should not be a manger. I hope, for IHOP's sake, they put you back to remedial training because you are a liability to...
Read moreGot a breakfast with all you can eat pancakes. The waitress didn't check on us. I set the pancake plate at the edge of the table along with my used coffee creamers. She walked right on by didn't even acknowledge the fact I was trying to wave her down nor did she pick up the pancake plate or the tray of coffee creamers.. 10 minutes later I finally get a hold of her I ask for another set of pancakes It takes 10 minutes to get those. And then I want to give you two at a time so I got two with my breakfast I had two more that she brought out to me. If it takes 20 minutes maybe she should have said (when she delivered our food) if you want more pancakes order them now. By the way there was five tables that were full in the whole place no more than two people a table. Two waitresses were on. So I'm not sure what was taking her so long or why she didn't bother to check on us. When she brought me the pancakes I asked her for a Pepsi refill and the check. it took her 25 minutes to get the check back to the table. Heck I would have ordered two more pancakes that I known that I would have had to wait 25 minutes to get the check. The moral of this story is don't bother paying for unlimited pancakes because you don't get very many and the ones you do get you're waiting 30 40 minutes for one extra set of pancakes.. It would have been cheaper just to buy...
