I went to the Soul Food Cafe on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a catfish plate with yams, double macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and cornbread, and the price came out to an expensive 32 dollars and change. I noticed the price on the food plates jumped drastically after 3 pm, and the difference between a lunch and dinner plate is that the lunch comes with two sides instead of three. The customer service from the employees needs work as I didn't receive a greeting, and the employees had a going-through-the-motions attitude. When I received my to-go plate, I said, “ Thank you.” The lady replied, “ Uh huh,” instead of the customer-friendly response, “ You’re Welcome.” The food I ordered was basic and did not impress me at all. The mac and cheese had what looked like gobs of sliced cheddar cheese melted on top and did not move my taste buds; I love mac and cheese, so it takes a lot of work for me not to like mac and cheese, and that was the worse I ever tasted from a restaurant. The yams were comparable to something from a can; the potato salad and the catfish were regular. The pancake-style cornbread was the best part of the meal, but even that tasted ordinary compared to other soul food restaurants. Honestly, the highlight of my visit consisted of the picture wall; they had many pictures of celebrities who had stopped by over the years, and I found that interesting. If only my taste buds had found the food as captivating as my eyes had found the pictures on the wall. Based on the food quality and the high cost, I wouldn't return. There are soul food restaurants in Las Vegas where you can consume succulent food and pay substantially less.

This is my 2nd time in LVNV. This place is a gem for sure. The food and service were both EXCELLENT. Place was very clean for those of you like me who care. I don't eat meat, but I don't mind if my veggies or beans are cooked in the meat, as long as the meat is not chopped up in the veggie/beans. I had greens, yams, blackeyes and red beans and rice. I'm here to tell you, the food was MMMM MMMM EXCELLENTE. I mean each one was JUUST right. Washed it down with....wait for it.... Red Koolaid....SWEET. The way it's supposed to be. As always, can't comment on the fried chicken or the fish. Sorry my carnivorous brethren and sistrin. My very strong recommendation is that if you get anywhere within 2 hrs drive of this place, drive yo *## HERE They open 11am 7 days a week. Last order 8pm. Sometimes they'll shut down at 730 if it's real slow. Best to call if you're coming at 730 or later. For my fellow truckers, it's in a plaza. You should be able to bring the trailer in the back of the plaza. I was bob tailing so no prob. PS I saw a review that said cash or Cashapp. They do plastic too. Always good to have cash in case internet goes dowm. It happens. I was in Arizona last year and the internet was down across the whole northern part of the state, and I got caught with no cash. Always have some cash y'all.

If you’re in Las Vegas and craving some real-deal soul food, Soul Food Cafe is the spot! My husband and I stopped by, and let me tell you—this place does not disappoint. I ordered the catfish dinner, which comes with three sides. The catfish was fried to perfection—crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and seasoned just right. For my sides, I went with the collard greens, mac and cheese, and French fries. The mac was creamy and cheesy, the greens were perfectly seasoned, and the fries were fresh and crispy. My husband got the BBQ chicken, which was tender, juicy, and smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce. He chose the collard greens, mac and cheese, and yams—those yams were sweet, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. And let’s talk about the homemade lemonade—absolute FIRE! Sweet, refreshing, and the perfect balance to all the savory goodness on our plates. Portions are generous, service is friendly, and the food is made with love. If you’re looking for some of the best soul food in Vegas, Soul Food Cafe is the place to be!

Unprofessional and and to say the least the worst hospitality I’ve ever experienced. I placed an order via DoorDash. Now note they don’t have DoorDash pick up food they self courier the orders. This is where the issues begin. I ordered a jerk chicken plate. ETA was 55 mins per DoorDash I was fair considering a smaller business may be busy I have them 3 hours to deliver. Now I called at 1hr and 50 mins to get an update not to complain just a casual update on a 40$ meal I just ordered. The first ring gets answered I say one sentence… “hello good evening I placed a order via DoorDash and contact info request I contact store for updates” this man says something in broken English and hangs up in my face. I call back from 2 other #s the forward my call. I send a text message and they simply ignored it for over a hour. There’s no excuse for that type of customer service small business or not and that in itself made me cancel the order 3 hours later. I then decide when I have time I’m going to go into the place and see if maybe I’m over reacting… let me tell you. No hospitality skills, no communication skills and leave it to me a huge rip off. Don’t sign up for delivers you can’t manage or customers you don’t genuinely care to satisfy. Coming and seeing them not busy was disgusting I didn’t even care to say anything because hanging up in my face multiple times and not replying to customers spending their hard earned money isn’t even deserving of a opportunity to explain themselves. Please remove your restaurant from DoorDash it’s many customers also NEVER received their food after ordering and...
