So I was at home contemplating food for the evening with my hunbun and she mentioned Ramen. Now between the two of us we have gone to a few different ramen shops here in Vegas. This time I figured we could go to one closer to home. Kokoro Ramen is about 3 minutes away. I couldn't be more happy making this choice. When we arrived we were greeted at the front door by the waitress and she asked if we were eating here or to go. I decided we could eat in since we weren't doing anything at home anyway. We were seated in a nice little corner where we can enjoy the ambience of the restaurant. There was not many people in this day except one gentleman that said a table down from us. Before I can make any decisions on what I thought about the place already our waitress was back and ready to take our drink orders she requested what we wanted and in a flash was right back with it. I decided on a nice hot cup of green tea which was delectable. It didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted to eat so I went with a traditional tonkatsu Ramen and I couldn't help myself but to order the chicken karaage as well. As our waitress took away our menus I decided to sit and enjoy the beautiful decor of the restaurant So many lovely pictures and paintings that hung on the walls really gave the feel of actually being at a traditional Japanese ramen shop. But wouldn't you know it before I could get too comfortable our waitress was already bringing out our freshly cooked ramen. As she sat it on the table I inhaled a deep breath just a bass in the finally developed broth that was sitting in front of me. The karage was looking oh so crispy and delicious as well. I broke my chopsticks to dig in and I fell in love. The flavor of the broth was so enticing and the noodles were so tender and well cooked. My pork was cooked to perfection as well. I pretty much lost myself within this bowl of ramen. Bite after bite I realized that I was going to become a regular at Kokoro. But this review isn't actually about the food it's really about the service that I received while I was there It wasn't that many of us in attendance at the restaurant but our waitress made sure that we were well taken care of regardless of if we were eating or not made sure my drinks were filled and if we needed anything while we were eating. Service was sublime and just for that I will be returning to...
Read moreLet me start of my review by saying this is now my 5th time here and I can say that the flavors and quality are consistently amazing.
This has turned into me and my wife's favorite ramen spot.
We LOVE the black garlic ramen. We order it spicy with extra chashu and it is amazing. (I will be honest and warn others that the garlic is strong with this one.) If you like garlic this is a GREAT thing.
The tonkutsu ramen is equally great (be sure to add the spicy for the extra kick) one thing we love about all the different ramen options is the chashu it's got a great taste of being flamed (I don't know the culinary term for that) but you can taste the flames on that slice of pork.
Today I took a leap and tried the Midori basil ramen, I was worried about the basil overpowering the whole dish, but to my pleasant surprise the basil was a nice addition, it felt subtle, like a soft fluffy hug encapsulating the traditional ramen flavors. I really enjoyed it and would definetly have it again.
The chashu fried rice is one of our favorite fried rice in all of Vegas. Our kids (1 and 3 years old) love the rice and finish it every time. We order it with KoKoRo fries and they are satisfied. They always want some of the chashu from our bowls because they too apreciate the awesomeness of it.
We have had differnt servers and they have been very nice. JJ was very kind to my kids and was attentive the entire time we were here.
For those looking for a new place I definitely would recommend to give this place a try.
The food tastes just as good if not better than they look in the gorgeous photos posted on here.

Read moreKokora Izakaya isn't just another spot in Vegas. it's a whole vibe. Reopened just two months ago, this place has quickly become my absolute favorite Izakaya! Tucked away in Summerlin, Kokora is open late, serving up deliciousness until midnight.
Let's talk drinks: The Yuzu Asahi draft beer is a revelation. I'm not usually a beer person, but I downed two big glasses. The yogurt chuhi cocktail was also a winner, offering a sweet and tangy twist.
The food menu is where Kokora truly shines. The yellowtail jalapeño carpaccio was a zesty and flavorful start, while the takoyaki were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside.
The binchotan grilled chicken was tender and smoky. The wagyu ishiyaki was an interactive delight. But the beef sukiyaki nabe (hotpot) was the star of the show;comforting and rich.
Don't miss out on their robata grill skewers! The okra and shiitake mushroom were simple yet perfect, and the chicken thigh with tare was a juicy delight.
The Angus beef with garlic chip and shrimp kushi were also top-notch, but the freshwater eel skewer was a standout.
For hand rolls, the salmon with avocado was fresh and creamy, and the spicy tuna packed a punch. The freshwater eel with crab meat was decadent, and the shrimp tempura with spicy crab was an explosion of flavor.
But the scallop with yuzu tobiko was the real winner: Brighr, citrusy, and utterly divine. And if you're craving rice or noodles, the chicken mayo don and midori basil ramen are both...
