To begin with, I love Marco's, have for last three years when our oldest son introduced them to us. That said, the poor reviews are due to a couple of issues I recently experienced. The first is that they have updated their app. And although thats normally a good thing this update forced all users to setup their accounts again which DID NOT port over ANY of the points accumulated, ANY of the coupons (and I had some good ones) and lastly I received no notification of this update nor post updating any thank you incentives/coupons for essentially wiping my account. This , to me. Is a HUGE departure from what I thought up until this event was a company well fixated on their customers experience. That IS , beyond the quality, a central reason for our loyalty to them. After this though, Im not so sure we will continue being loyal. And just to add insult, when I went to pick up my food I was forced to order through their new app, I asked why I had lost all my points/coupons thinking it was an error, and was astonished at the answer I received. In a nutshell this employee proceeds to describe how "even" he had lost his points and continued to lament about HIS loss. And all he could recommend to me is I come in and talk to his manager. No phone number. No tech support. Just , you take your time and come into the store to speak to a manager who has no vested interest or ability to fix this gross misjudgement on the new app. Then to just add s one more layer of f me to this whole situation , I had to wait twice as long because they screwed up my order and had to remake my pizza and salad. No discount offered, no next order is on us or this many dollars off. Nope, just sorry dude we had to make your pie over again it'll be another 20 mins. I've written many reviews, none as detailed as this, and its because in a matter of one interaction with this place we had been ordering from for years, they managed to dismantle the unique relationship we customers have with our fav food joints. They lost their edge , poor update process on the app, poor customer service and zero rentntion effort. Truely saddened. At any rate, as always, buyer beware. Have a...
Read moreI was very disappointed to see a $5.50 delivery charge before anything else. Just by clicking delivery i am charged 3/4th a total amount of a large pizza. Then the driver tells me she only gets $1.25 per delivery and they get paid off of tips. First of all the pizza isn't that good to pay the highest delivery fee out of all the chain pizzas (papa johns 3.50, Pizza hunt $3.75, dominos $4.00)., Leave it to maros to find more ways to get more money out of the customer, taken out of the pockets of the drivers, fatten their on corporate greed, and give them $1.25. Hell, even smaller chains like Metro pizza only charge $3.00 and 1.50 goes to the driver. At least they care about their customers and drivers to pay half. Last time I order from Marco's to fatten their wallets. Driver was very friendly and provided her with a tip. By time it is all said and done, i am $10 in the whole for delivery and tip before I order. I am waiting for the pizza company to charge zero dollars for deliveries. Then drivers will earn what they should without greedy corporate hand in your pocket. This will also entice the customer to order more them free delivery because it's more money to purchase other items or for tip. I am told one of the major chain is looking to shake up the competition and roll this out in Sept/Oct. Corporate and their greed. There is nothing they can say to justify delivery fee of $5.50 for a car they don't pay maintenance on, gas they don't pay for, and for what? Because they are greedy. We dont have to take this. Affect their pockets, go to other competitors who charge no or lesser delivery fees and pay their employees correctly. It's hot outside making...
Read moreI am so frustrated right now! I understand places get busy on a Friday night but DAMN, 35-40mins late had to call twice bc of no answer to check on my order bc there were 30mins late already and i was put on hold for 5mins, not exaggerating. Then I start to make everyone’s plate and my salad wasn’t there. I called them and let them know and honestly I was so pissed by the time they took me off hold idk if they even said sorrry just asked if it was a male delivery person. The garlic sauce is not sauce it’s a butter, both the dip and on the pizza so it was really dry pizza the cheese was good. Then on my part i accidentally ordered 2 cheese breads so now o pretty much have 3 bc that’s how the pizza taste bc it wasn’t a garlic sauce but a butter. My kids and husband ate and I have yet too. Ok I gave into a slice of pizza. I am still waiting for them to bring my salad 30mins later. So over 2 hours I finally get to eat. So disappointed, as I heard good things but I am ugh got a bad taste in my mouth. It took my everythingnot to go off bc my husband is the calm one and right next to me.
