Wendy's — Restaurant in New Albany

We stopped by Wendy’s to get our lunch. We went inside and there were three people standing two of which were talking to each other and the one at the drive thru window was looking down like she was watching something on her phone. One of the guys talking looked at me and continued to talk. I moved over so the other guy could see me. When he saw me he called out, “someone on the front.” Then I saw someone come out of the back office but no one came to the front counter. After my husband and I stood there for a few more minutes and nothing changed, the guys were still talking, the girl still doing what she was doing and no one came to the front counter. So we left. There was no one inside the restaurant or in drive thru. Now I know why. 🙁. You can’t have a profitable business if you don’t have employees that want to work. This had to be the worst Wendy's experience I've ever had. Ordered 2 plain grilled chicken sandwiches and got to the window to pay and they only had one ready and it would take 13 mins to cook more. Well, we decided to just substitute a jr burger for it. When we got to the window to get our food they didn't give us a chicken sandwich and a jr burger! They gave us 2 jr burgers! When we told the girl at the window there was supposed to be one chicken sandwich she said they didn't have any. She called the manager over and she acted like she didn't believe us and was a bit rude about it. I mean I understand about running out of food when it was as late as it was, but not believing someone when they tell you what they ordered and be rude about it!?! Come on! We went to the drive thru (Monday, September 15th @ 4:45) and as we were ready to order the young man came on the speaker to tell us what they were out of before we placed our order. We couldn’t believe the list but they did have some of what we wanted. (3- 4 for 4 meals) They didn’t have regular fries or sweet tea but got the crunchy fries and Sprite. We felt sorry for the young man working the window because he was nice as he could be and we laughed with him when he said he had a list he was reading off of what they didn’t have…not only being out of everything what we received was cold and you could tell had been cooked for some time.
