While my situation may be unique, I am writing this detailed review due to the magnificent quality of the meal I received, and to help other sufferers of AFRID. If you've not heard of AFRID, that's okay bc most people haven't; the acronym stands for avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder. This disorder leads to intense hyper sensitivity to certain or new food textures as well as certain or new flavors. Because of this, I have tried only 2 uniquely new restaurants since the age of 7. At 40 now, you can imagine how restricting that feels, especially when my favorite restaurant in the world (a Mexican restaurant which was located in New Baltimore also), burned down. I thought I would never enjoy the majestic meal that is most delectable authentic Mexican dishes. However, as previously mentioned, I turned 40 this year and decided to challenge myself to try new Mexican restaurants to find the best.
Let me say, my quest stops at Trini's. Not only are the portions exquisitely sized, they are lovingly made with quality ingredients in the most authentic Mexican cuisine style (which didn't aggravate my AFRID, bc these are tastes and textures I know well, genuine Mexican cuisine). While it may not initially be as spicy as some would make home style, real world Mexican cuisine, I'm sure you could order it spicier and receive an exact replica of AUTHENTIC homemade Mexican cuisine. *I on the other hand appreciated the mild spice I enjoyed today. âşď¸ That's what I loved about my initial fav. Mexican restaurant, it's authenticity and unique, bold but sensible flavors. In earnest, Trini's may have even raised the bar in this regard.
It a was fresh, generously portioned, delicious master piece from beginning to end. Each carry-out box I opened made me feel akin to a kid on Christmas. I WILL be ordering again soon, I can assure you.
May I suggest you give them a try, bc if you like Puffy Tacos, rice, beans, pico de gallo, salsa and overall upper echelon quality; YOU WILL LOVE TRINI'S!!!
*I never leave reviews. Haven't reviewed anything for at least 7 years, but I had to rush on here between bites just to share them with the world. So many businesses now a days, do the bare minimum that when a company performs like Trini's, I feel it's our responsibility as responsible consumers to promote that, and avoid promoting businesses who have poor quality and care solely about numbers. I feel valued as a customer at this restaurant.
Thank you most Sincerely Trini's Mexican Carry-out, if you need a spokeswoman, I'm ya girl.

Read moreMy family goes to Trinis about 6 times a year. It has never been great nor authentic Mexican food, but there isn't much option in the area. Today was the worst experience I've had in the food business. I went to pick up my food and I inquired about why I was charged for sour cream. The girl said that she didn't make the prices. I asked again with everything I bought, why I was charged for sour cream. She then walked away and told Rita, "you deal with her." It was very unprofessional! Rita handled my questions and resolved the issue with the sour cream. When I got home, which is a 15 minute drive home, I realized one of my dinner meals wasn't there. I called the restaurant asked to speak to a manager. Rita got on the phone. I told her one of my meals was missing. I received no street tacos. She told me I could get store credit or come up there and pick up the meal. I told her I'm too far away to drive back up there and I didn't want credit because I will not be a returning customer after today! She told me to hold on and called the owner. When she got back on the phone she told me sorry, she can not credit me the amount back on my debit card! I was shocked! I've never heard of a place that won't refund your money after paying for something you never received! I now have to wait until after the holiday to call the owner and speak to her. I shouldn't have to go out of my way from such a bad experience, treated rudely, and didn't receive all of my food I paid for, to have to get a hold of them to correct this! Trinis lost us as a...
Read moreI've ordered carry-out from Trinis about a dozen times. I won't say their food is bad but it's far from being on par with the nearly perfect review score rating found online. In fact, being primarily a carry-out based establishment, their reviews don't even take into account dine-in service based factors such as wait staff, cleanliness, speed of service etc. This means that , for some reason, people are implying that their food alone is of 5 star flavor, quality, and value. Trinis is average at best. People who eat Mexican food regularly will immediately notice 3 things: they (oddly) put peas and carrots in their rice, their tortilla chips are like biting into a piece of plywood, and their menu items featuring beef can only be ordered with ground beef as they don't offer a shredded beef option. Their beens and rice are bland, so the peas and carrots definitely don't help if that's the reason they are in there. If you order a burrito with the wet option, they put an absolutely terrible and flavorless chilli sauce on it. In addition to the sub-par food quality, my order has also been inaccurate several times. I will likely continue to order from Trinis on occasion in an effort to help support a local business, however, my dining experience has definitely not been...
