This occurred at the Cogeshall, New Bedford. MA location. Ordered 2 piece all white spicy instore. Paid the extra charge for all white spicy. Should have been breast and wing. Woman that took order and $$. Turned and packed order. She immediately handed me order. I asked this is all white correct? Yes!! Exasperated that I had asked. Ok I opened and looked in box. There was a leg and a thigh. I had pulled back breading from chicken yup definitely thigh. I called her back. Showed order and receipt. She told me i didn't ask for all white. I showed receipt again. Again eye roll and took chicken I had touched from box and returned to be cooked chicken. Ewww. Chose a breast and put in box with the leg. I looked at 2nd piece and once again it was a thigh. Noticed didn't replace leg with wing. I asked for supervisor as obviously a training issue. Maybe she wasn't able to see the difference between breast and thigh. Waited as she ignored me and took new customer. I asked another emploee for assistance. Or for supervisor. Was told it was to busy cone back later. I said ok just correct to what I ordered. Original person who took order told me it was my fault as I didn't order all white. I eas still holding receipt showing what i ordered. I was done!!! I asked for $$ back. Supervisor was out front and asked what was wrong. She had been standing there the entire time. So rude then told me it was my fault chicken in box was wrong. I was buying this for my 89 year old mother as a treat, She was in hospital. She doesn't eat dark meat ever. Read moreEvery time we give this New Bedford Ma Popeyes another chance, we regret it. The line is always long, the wait is ridiculous, and when you finally get your food—it’s cold. We decided to try again tonight (10/24/25 around 9:05–9:10 PM), after 7 to 8 month, hoping things had improved. Unfortunately, the experience was just as bad, if not worse.
At the drive-thru, I asked for 2 orders. On of them two pieces of chicken breast, something I’ve ordered many times before (and I’m even willing to pay extra). The cashier told me they “can’t do that” and that I had to take a mix of white and dark meat. She was rude and unprofessional about it.
When I got to the next window, I asked for my receipt—she said it was in the bag. I started checking my order to make sure everything was correct, which I always do. I’ve done this at McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King—you name it—and not once has anyone asked me to move. But here, the employee told me to move because there were customers behind me. When I explained I was just checking my order, she rolled her eyes and shut the window right in my face.
On top of that, the food was ice cold. The rice and beans were dry, and the chicken wasn’t spicy. Before leaving the house, I checked online and it said the restaurant closes at 2 AM, so I don’t understand how at 9 PM they were already out of spicy chicken. The employee just said they didn’t have any and I had to take mild instead. Everything ended up going into the microwave once I got home.

Read moreThis location is horrible at night not bad during the day but that night time crew is rude , seem mad they're working on a Saturday night (change your shift if causes you to provide bad service) I waited in line , ordered a #7 got charged for the shrimp and tender meal instead , paid for my meal , was told it would be an additional 5-10 minutes to pull up in which I did . Lady comes out hands me my food , I drive off . Get home , I have no tartar sauce , no utensils , no Large drink like I ordered. I had to go back and once I was inside, I was ignored at the counter. I seen a kid cleaning the lobby told him my issue, he got the thing that were missing... while he's telling a crew mate what' he getting for me the both giggled and started talking about some other lady who had to do the same thing. Not to mention as I was placing my order in the intercom box , you could hear them complaining and what sounded like an argument in the background. Just a very unpleasant demeanor, rude to be exact . This is my third time this summer trying to give them a chance I never left a review for them before but they definitely earned this one. Go somewhere else! Especially on a weekend night .
