Chicken Express — Restaurant in New Braunfels

Ok fello Texans, first I love chicken period, what I don’t like at todays prices is chicken with heat lamp burns and skin you can clearly tell it’s old chicken. Now at these prices today I want fresh chicken unburt fries or just little browner than I care for. My wife was kind enough to go get the chicken when I arrived home. She didn’t have time to cook. My point yo that comment is this, I wouldn’t of bought that chicken I would if asked for fresher cooked chicken. Which should of been given anyway. You can’t fix stupid or gread. Similar situation with another chicken outfit that I frequented many years. I know longer go there. Been over 3 years. I will not go back to this chicken express. My goodness. I work hard and if you can’t sell high priced chicken don’t give people old hot lamp burnt chicken. I had 3 piece all dark with dried up skin( my favorite) and dried up insides with brown fries. Check your chicken people. Cost to much to give hard working people...

This has always been my go to place after work. The employees are always so friendly and helpful and I have always had a really good experience. However. This time. The chicken was so extremely dry. It smelled and tasted like it was old. I called up the manager, GLORIA( she refused to give me her last name) and very nicely explained we never had this problem before. GLORIA told me, she had nothing to compare it too, what ever that means. And that she would give me 4 free pieces of chicken..Chicken express cost 23.00 for an 8 pieces. It is incredibly high. So yes,, I expect it to be edible. If it is inedible, and I explained how it was, she Should be more than willing to make it right..but all i got was attitude. ..and did I get upset and say a few choice words. yes I did, for she was the most rude. LOOP 337 STORE Used to love this place. Quality of the food in general is just satisfactory now. Order accuracy is terrible. They are missing items in our order 50% of the time. Tonight we are missing two sides that we paid for. Tried to call them. but got theit fax machine. Very disappointed in the service and food. Every other time we order chicken legs we have to wait 10-15 minutes. This review is not for all Chicken Express locations.

7-8-21: Update I received a response shortly after the original review. The owner just wanted to make it right. That's just great business. I will have to say that I have been to this same location multiple times with great results. Everything was as it should be. No longer than usual waits, food was fresh and not one thing was wrong with any of the orders placed. Thanks to the owner, manager and staff for making it great again. Love the...
