For Goodness Sake Natural Food — Restaurant in New Braunfels

I have previously had negative and frustrating experiences within this store. For myself personally, as well as complaints from clients of mine whom I have referred to this location for particular items and special orders.

I have been in several times in the past 2 months, and have had some really nice experiences, which have reminded me of why I fell in love with this quaint little store when I first became a resident to the New Braunfels area.

I was so pleased to see some of the items I have previously tried to special order, and have had clients attempt to special order, actually be in stock on shelf! HUGE compliments for this! The store seems to be expanding a bit with more of a variety of selection and some new smiling and knowledgeable staff members. Someone even helped me carry my things to my vehicle for me since I had little ones with me. Wish I had gotten her name!

While I am still quite uneasy about placing a special order of any kind, and will make sure that my clients get specific details when placing one, I am happy to once again feel that this is my store, and feel proud to refer my clients, even the ones whom live out of town, to this...

I think those below (calling you out Kyle) are likely bringing in YOUR attitude and lacking ability to adjust that not everyone in Texas is conservative or just like you. I’m white, didn’t feel ostracized at all. Also… It’s perfectly OK to be progressive, seeking things outside of the “norm” (whatever “normal” really means at this stage, it’s all about perspective) But those of us who don’t march to your drum Kyle, should not have to subscribe to your way to help you feel more comfy, where everything is about you. Ok my mission here with Kyle is done, now onto what’s really important…

It’s been difficult to find what is easy to get to at frequency in Oregon and in Colorado, so this was an Oasis. The options are good for a small store. I’d like to see more produce but understandably difficult to have in a store this size. I love that they carry the local roasters, the local bone broth company, the local honey, etc etc.

I would like to right a wrong about this store. Someone said in a review they were here a few months back at the store and nobody was wearing masks. This is Comal County and back then each county made up it's own minds whether to wear masks or not. For Goodness Sake was not in violation of any law like the reviewer was very chessilly trying to imply. . As soon as the county made it mandatory everyone promptly started wearing masks. They also put a plug in for Whole Foods. There isn't a Whole Foods for quite a few miles around here. I go to For Goodness Sake about once a week. The people are friendly and are very quick to helping you get what you want. I rely on them because they are very knowledgeable about herbs and supplements so they can get you the right product for the right needs. Another big thing is they are the only place I know of that sell herbs in bulk. If you read anyone make negative comments about this store they are probably the competition. Very weak...
