It's loud in here! Like so loud the waitress cannot hear you. It's tastefully decorated and very clean but it's also a brand new establishment.  The waitress did not bring my kid water even after she had come to ask what we would like.   We had to ask a 2nd time for water.  It was very busy and aside from taking our order at the beginning the waitress never came to check on us. In fact she totally ignored our table... While other guests around us had their drinks refilled and were brought additional chips by their waitresses our table sat unattended. So even if I had wanted to order a drink or something else it wasn't going to happen.  The chips are crunchy and taste similar to fritos but without the grease.   The salsa tasted like something that came from a can (think tomato purée). What a disappointment the rest of the food was... The  chalupa dinner was most similar to a Mexican pizza at taco bell but think more along the lines of if you made it with no sauce or seasoning.   The beef was greasy and lacked flavor.   The beans also tasted like they came from a can and where also overly salty.  The steak cozumel.... Save your money and go to whataburger.   You'll get more meat and seasoning.   It wasn't grilled it was just slapped on the flat iron.  It came with an enchilada filled with kraft singles (maybe velvet) and sadness.   The breakfast tacos are the only thing worth eating but only because it's hard to mess up chorizo. Will I be back - you can bet that's a NO. Do I recommend - No... Save your money and get taco bell instead.

I placed my to-go order. I was told 15 - 20 mins. I still had to wait additional 15 mins because it wasn't done according to them when I gave them my name. They finally bring a bag to me. Gave my debt card and seen double the price I was told over the phone, but before I had a chance to tell wait she had charged my card. I asked why was it so much and she asked if my name was so and so. I said no and repeated my name. Mind you, they had already charged me for someone else that was waiting for there food. By this time there was 3 waitress there they to figure out what's going on when a 4th waitress shows up and gets my food that had been sitting on the shelf that nobody bothered to check. They refunded me for the wrong order and I paid for mine. The whole time I was waiting, my food was just sitting there needless to say by the time I got back to work which is 5 mins away, my food was cold (not warm) but cold. I ordered the beef fajitas for 1, double rice, coke and was charged almost $30. The food I received was unacceptable for that price. I attached a picture. Apart from it being cold, fajitas were dry from obviously sitting there. NEVER going back to that restaurant even if they say it's free. Thanks to the ONLY waitress that had her head on her shoulders and fixed the problem in less than a minute. I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but at that point I was already upset.

Best Tex-Mex Food. Great atmosphere, great staff and delicious food. As you can see the in the video, the food comes out hot. Don’t be fooled by the reviews who say food tastes like can soup, because it doesn’t. The portions are good for the price. I highly believe the bad reviews on here come from family or friends of other Mexican restaurants, who find them to be a threat. I’ve been to all their locations and the food and customer service has always been great. I know someone mentioned it was too loud, but In all honesty I’ve been inside louder restaurants Where they have live music. It is an open dining area, so If you want quiet dining and privacy, I recommend you stay home where you’re not easily annoyed. I highly recommend you experience this restaurant and make your own decision and leave your own opinion. Available parking and prices are great.

Wow, just wow! For a place my family and I have been eating for years, I'm blown away with how bad the service and our dinner experience were. We were excited that one opened in New Braunfels, but that excitement has now been extinguished.

Once we were seated, the waitress assigned to our table was horrible. We had to repeat our orders a couple of times because she kept getting confused. We ordered the nachos grande with beef, and when they came out, the beef was missing. When we were finally able to get her attention and explain the issue to her, she instantly got defensive and said I did not ask for beef. When my wife told her that she clearly heard my request, she got an attitude and said well I can bring you some. She comes back to the table with a tiny bowl of meat, an attempt to charge me 3.50 of 2 teaspoons full of meat. When I asked her if she could just take off the entire nachos order, she just walked away. The manager came to the table and tried to explain that she asked me if I wanted the regular order, to which I told him I clearly asked for the added meat. He did offer to correct it and did so, but not without trying to make it seem like I made the mistake. When she repeated our order for our plates back, I told her again she had the beans switched and repeated my order again. After all the issues with the nachos, she brought out the food, and they were still switched. Really! This must have been a day one server.

On to the food. The food at the original location to my knowledge was made in-house. My advice would be to go spend your hard earned money at a Mexican restaurant that does not service everything from a sysco can. The enchiladas were garbage. I think it was the equivalent of a 1 dollar tv dinner. The corn tortillas were chalky. The meat inside was bland and dry ground beef. The enchilada sauce was from a can and not a good one. The rice was dry lol. The only thing that was decent were the beans. The flour tortillas are laughable. They are tiny store bought tortillas. Why would you serve those? The chips are from a bag, and the salsa is running and also from a can. Oh, they also forgot to give me Utensils.

Here's the bottom line. Take your money elsewhere. This is not good Mexican food it's sysco from a can Mexican food. You can't win them all, but with much better options in town, stay away from this one. They should be giving me a refund instead of me paying them for this experience. It's completely unacceptable! Do better!

Update

I read your response. You don't have to like my reviews, but it's all facts. I will stop in there tomorrow and order them store bought tortillas and post pictures to let the people decide. If this is your or anyone else's livelihood, then you should do better. I have been in management for years as has my wife, and we would never allow this in our establishments. You were nice and did make them fresh, but your attempt to gaslight me failed. I will make sure to spread the word to the large network of folks I know. People reading my reviews can also look at the others and see we are all saying the same thing. If you don't want negative feedback, then do better! There are too many other restaurants in New Braunfels that have trained staff and excellent food. You never have to worry about us or anyone I can reach returning to your...

If you’re looking to eat Mexican food in New Braunfels there’s plenty of other great Mexican restaurants in town. The owners of this establishment failed to be competitive in any way! To start things off, they start charging you after your second basket of chips & salsa despite the size of your party! Appetizers? Don’t get the “Chile con queso”. It’s quite literally regular plain queso that taste exactly like nacho cheese you get from the movie theatre. I asked, what I presume was a manager, if I had gotten the wrong queso and she said no but I asked if it was indeed just normal queso and she said yes and didn’t know why they call it “chile con queso” which I thought was pretty wild. I then ask for a small guacamole and they proceed to tell me they’re out of guacamole at 6:30 P.M. which no problem whatsoever I get it. Fajitas? Dont expect hot sizzling fajitas but instead a lukewarm warm plate with microwave rice and very cheap cheese. If you want fajita veggies you’ll have to order the fajitas nortenas at an extra cost. The server then proceeds to hand me a bowl of cut up avocados in replacement for the guacamole they were apparently out of? Yet on my plate I have onions, tomatoes, peppers, oh and avocados! Out of guacamole or too lazy to make any? My guess is they ran out of packaged guacamole. Speaking of packaged, all the food here tasted as if they got their entire menu from the freezer down the road at H-E-B. Even then H-E-B’s frozen food is probably ten times better. We also got a plate that had a cheese enchilada, flauta, and a chalupa and it was all poor quality.

I’m not kidding when I say our students eat better Mexican food at canyon high school. Herbert’s, Casa Garcias, dos rios, hell even chuys are all better options.

Service was good, place inside is very lit up and there’s no music. Felt like you were in a big empty room. I don’t expect this place to...

we’ve gone several times to this new location and it’s been good but this last time last week I needed a bowl of soup first of all when we sitted It took about five minutes for the wait tour to come and take our drinks then it took him probably 15 minutes before he even brought our drinks. We had to ask a lady that was picking up the plates and after she went to tell him him it’s still took him another five minutes or so I was actually coughing and choking on the chips. Then the soup came and I told him I didn’t want the pico de gallo and my soup to put it on the side and instead he put it on the soup and the avocado and cheese were outside of the bowl. I told him to take it back. He finally brought it after 10 minutes and my husband‘s almost done with his then we asked him for the bill and it took him another 15 minutes to bring yet and we asked him for a receipt. My husband waited for probably another 15 minutes. I went to the car got tired of waiting. He never brought the receipt then the manager came and my husband told her and she said she was sorry and they still didn’t bring the receipt so he left after 20 minutes of waiting for the receipt. This is ridiculous. You need to train your waiters at least to bring a drink right away when we asked for it and it wasn’t even 12 o’clock. It was already almost 3, so there was not a lot of people in the restaurant so that’s no excuse. Please train your waiters better and to be more customer service, especially on the drinks and to check up on you once in a while so I gave it one star because that’s all I could give them. I would give them...
