Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in New Braunfels

I went to try Rudy's for the first time this passed Saturday. I have to say, I loved it! The only complaint is that the sausage was not what I expected. I tried the 1/2 a jalapeno sausage, which is enough for one person. It was good, but I am used to Lockhart sausage so I'm hard to please in that respect. The line to order was too long, but that seems to be the norm during these trying times. The workers were giving it their all and moved very quickly. I was impressed by their efficiency and kindness despite being overwhelmed with orders. I liked the self-serve bar with all the condiments and goods I needed to enjoy dinner. They have a nice large dining area with nice tables. Our party sat on the patio, which was nice, too. I have to say my fav were Rudy's pinto beans! Great flavor with a mild kick. And we all appreciated that the coleslaw was not swimming in that dressing. My trip to the ladies' room was pleasant. I found clean stalls, and sinks and a hand sanitizing station outside the bathrooms. Overall, good food, good service, clean facilities, nice clean dining areas inside and out. I'm coming back to this location soon...

Never thought I would be so disappointed with rudys. Have been going there since the first day they opened. I had a coupon and called to confirm they took it and gave ALL the details of the coupon and they told me yes we take it. So we went in gave the cashier the coupon and told her we called to verify coupon. We placed the order and were paying and a Manager told the cashier they don't take it. I explained we called ahead of time but they did not care and would not take it. We will not ever go there again. It's was not the cost but the principle of dishonesty and lack of integrity. Then as we were walking out they said would you like us to get another manager. I politely declined and explained the principle behind there decision and left. Rudys in new braunfels is playing the bait and switch game or will do whatever it takes to get people in. I was truly disgusted.

I was visiting the Love of my Life in Seguin for Christmas when a future MMA champion gifted me a gift Card for Rudy's. I will sheepishly admit I have never had briscuit before and had no idea what to expect. My fiance and I stylishly arrived in seperate vehicles as the sun peeked through the clouds for the first time since I arrived in this cold winter State of Texas. Ill admit I was pretty excited to see sun again and eat my first Briscuit with the Woman I am going to Marry in June. I consider myself to have at least a medium sized brain and a iq higher than your average sea mammal however when I arrived at the counter I completely forget how to order food. Luckily for me , my better half is a veteran briscuit orderer. We recieved our food and sat down at a table close to the washroom( or as American would say, Bathroom).
