Tipsy Cow Ice Cream — Restaurant in New Braunfels

Walked in, and a lady was in there asking for a bigger bowl/container because the ice cream she had was melting horribly fast and was getting all over her hands. They treated her like she was a problem, with no respect, and just stared at her and tried to offer a cup - for drinks.

The menu was so far up on the wall and off to the side of the queue and while there were a lot of options for alcohol ice cream, I just wanted a regular flavor. They put the dairy free ones on the menu that said alcohol at the top and I don't know if that meant the dairy free ones were alcohol ones or not...

When it was our turn to order the 3 people that were behind the counter said literally nothing and just stared at us. The lady at the register was condescending when we asked about what sizes got how many scoops and how much they would cost, and for 2 scoops of ice cream for 2 people (4 scoops total) it was super expensive. We ended up tipping too but both the people working there and the quality of the ice cream didn't really deserve the tip.

I ended up getting plain strawberry and my partner got plain vanilla and both of our icecreams tasted horrible. My strawberry tasted like "fake strawberry" and chemicals, with little strawberry bits in it. It melted rediculously fast to the point of having to race to try to eat it. I saw why the lady was habing trouble earlier because she'd only gotten 2 scoops like I did and it was a puddle in less than 5 minutes. My partner's vanilla melted equally as fast and tasted like straight milk with vanilla extract dumped in to overpower the milk. Not ice-creamy, just vanilla-milk-bomb.

If that's what two very basic icecream flavors tasted like that nowhere ever usually gets wrong to this extent... I'm scared to try any other flavors. You'd probably need to already have alcohol in your system to enjoy it at all.

Go somewhere else if you like good icecream, or just go buy some containers of bluebell from the gas station. They taste infinitely better and you get more ice cream for your dollar. Don't waste your money here unless you like eating fast-melting chemical...

We got a late-night craving for ice cream, so I Googled for an ice cream shop open near me. Tipsy Cow Ice Cream popped up, looked delicious, and were open for 25 more minutes. I hopped into the car and headed over, but, when I was almost there, I started feeling badly for ordering when they were closing in, by the time i got there, 10 minutes. I went inside and gave the gentleman an option for me to just grab some from the freezer section of the nearest corner store. He smiled and assured me it was fine. He was very helpful, as this was my first time in, and both young men were friendly and, despite the lateness of the hour, smiled as they took and prepared my order. They were still smiling as several more customers entered and I exited. Let's not forget the star of the show, the ice cream! It was delicious! So much flavor in each bite and I still had money left over for a tip and another round on another hot...
