I have been there on several occasions. They prove you don’t have to go to the city to get good Pizza or Cheesesteaks. I’m thinking the Portney visit gave them a problem they do not know how to handle and it is now the volume of business. When you now order the time they say your order will be ready add more time to that estimate. When you call the wait times are long and I even got hung up on. I requested a Catering menu phone conversation over a week ago and nobody called me back. So I called back yesterday and the owner personally said to me he would text me the price list and offerings within 5-10 minutes still waiting a day later. At this point I no longer want to give them my business. I’m not going to beg a Restaurant to do business with. There are many other Restaurants that are just as good. I have gone to many of the places that Portney has gone to and those Restaurants managed to keep going without loosing touch with customer service. I do think the food is 8 out of 10 and in the suburbs that is exceptional but if they don’t start paying attention to the finer details of the customer experience the business will have people like myself that will not support them.
I didn’t realize that the owner responded to my review. If you read his response instead of taking ownership he tried to push the blame on to me. The online feature is very confusing. It makes you fill out a form and says someone will get back to you. I waited a week. So when I call back I get hung and when I finally get a hold of someone they put me on the phone with the owner. He promises to text me a menu and provide me with prices I hear absolutely nothing. BTW when I was in the restaurant I wasn’t thinking about the catering. I don’t care how small a business is you can take 2 Minutes or have someone on staff to call back. No excuses. I don’t care if the company is a Fortune 500 company or a Mom and Pop shop always get back and treat every customer with respect and appreciate them spending or wanting to spend their hard earned money. Never make excuses for bad customer service. Treat this as a learning opportunity for yourself and staff. The story should be your food which is exceptional but customer service which is horrible. Do not make excuses. I would have overlooked everything if you would have called me back and explained everything. Instead it comes off as excuses and shifting the blame. At this point you will not be able to earn my business back. How ironic that it takes a google review to get back to me. Good luck hopefully this side of the business will catch up with the food. I do not want to spend anymore...
Read moreI’m genuinely so happy that this place is in my area. Of all the places on Earth, the owners chose this little venue in Chalfont.
To the people that run this establishment, I’m not sure if you realized how lucky you are. Peppino is the name of the main character in the game with the current highest rating on the video game launcher/storefront Steam, which is appropriately named Pizza Tower. Peppino also owns his own pizzeria in the game.
It’s an incredible coincidence that this has a real life translation, and it’s also amazing that the food is top notch in quality. So here’s where I begin my review:
The food is quite expensive, but the quality of the food more than makes up for that. It’s well worth the price. They also have great sizes. For example, the Stromboli is literally the size of a neck pillow and it’s only $18.50?? Dude, that’s an incredible deal.
If you’re not a fan of standard tomato pies, then don’t worry! Peppino’s also offers classic hand-tossed pizza and sandwiches that are very delicious and worth their price.
The staff were also really nice and really quick to make our food. My friends and I waited about ten minutes before all of our food came out.
The best part is that due to the sizes (especially the Stromboli), you’re able to take home leftovers that’ll serve you for yet another day (or two, if you have a small stomach).
In the end, I’m incredibly happy that this place is near me and that it exceeds the standard set by the highest rated game on Steam. Excellent food, excellent and efficient service, excellent time here. I’ll definitely be returning.
Update the next morning: The stromboli appeared in my dream from last night as an omnipotent being. Good lord this food...

Sausge & grilled onions: 8.7, great sauce, roll on point, tasty sausage, thought it was coming with peppers so it might have possibly reached a 9 on the dot.
Roast pork, sharp provolone & broccoli rabe: 9.3, GOT THE BIG BOY 24". Tender & flavorful pork, love that it came with a cup of jus (actually 2), the sharpness of the provolone was in harmony with the garlicky broccoli rabe. Roll was PERFECT.
Cheesesteak w/ cooper: 8.8, only because I would have preferred the cheese to have been melted more. It was a 20 minute drive home until we could unwrap them, but the cheese on the sausage & roast pork were fully melted so I think this just wasn't melted in the grill enough before going on the great roll and wrapped up. Solid 9.2 if they fix that next time I go.
Italian hoagie no onion, oil & vinegar: 9.3. really no faults with this one. I added a bit of garlic powder and red wine vinegar when I got home, but that's a personal preference. Perfect meat to cheese to veggie ratio, bread wasn't dry but also not soggy. This was eaten last, a few hours after the hot sandwiches (not enough room after the first 3 lol) and honestly that's how I prefer hoagies, it lets everyone mingle. This comes on an all star roll that allows that without compromising the breads integrity.
Definitely would recommend these 4 and probably...
