McDonald's — Restaurant in New Britain

I arrived with my stepson after doing some work to get him a treat; McD's was his choice. It was a very simple order; 1 10 piece nuggets meal with a MED Strawberry shake (originally asked for Chocolate and the D/T operator said Chocolate was not available) and 2 DBL Cheeseburgers, LRG fry, LRG Vanilla shake. We paid; no problem. Get to receiving window and was handed a MED Vanilla shake. When I told the crew member this was incorrect, she told me to keep it and to pull up and they will bring out the others to me. Okay; no problem so far. Another crew member, identifying himself as George (Jorge), brought out a single LRG strawberry shake. When I told him that was incorrect he began arguing with me. I then showed him my receipt (which actually says LRG Vanilla and MED Vanilla) and George told me to take the large strawberry shake. I asked where the LRG Vanilla was and he said that I got a Medium Vanilla and I should be happy. I told him no; that is not what I ordered. George then approached my car, reached into the window and removed the Med vanilla (I was told to keep) from my hand. He went inside and got me a large vanilla 5 minutes later. It was...

MOST DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY RESTAURANT! The bathrooms seats have urine spray, the garbages are overflowing so much that there is food & trash on the floor (see pictures I posted). The floor has juice stains & fries & paper in both the Play Place & the main dining room. They don't even wash the trays! They gave my family a tray that had a dried clump of ketchup underneath with a straw wrapper attached. We had to leave. The kids apparently aren't required to wear socks because no one was. They ran around with sweaty bare feet & took food into the tunnel. Everything about this place was unsanitary & downright disgusting. I'm never going back to the place or recommending it to anyone I know.

The only GOOD review this place has on Google is by the store manager himself. I know because I just talked to the manager about the mess & that is his picture with the review. Instead of pretending to be a customer he should work on running a clean restaurant so REAL customers can write reviews...

Ever since the 2021 renovation & re-opening, the drive-thru is slower than molasses. Long lines & nothing budging.

& the renovation made the entranceway harder to turn into since it erased the angled entrances (see photos). This means turners need to slow down more, which backs up traffic on the northbound CT-71 even worse. Especially since a ton of people going north on CT-71 turn into mcdonalds just so they can use the traffic light at the exit to turn southbound on CT-71w/o driving all the way to the WF Mall to make a U-turn. Now a single non-turning car waiting at the traffic light can block a bunch of turners instead of them being able to turn behind it.

Edit: Additionally, do not believe their listed hours right now. was there around 10:20-10:30pm the other day and was told at the drive-thru they were closed. 2-3 cars ahead of me were still waiting for their orders, but they weren't taking...
