I recently swung by Filippo's Famous and grabbed a sausage and pepperoni slice on the go. The overall experience was decent, with quick service and an OK slice.
One thing that stood out was the fast service. I was in and out in no time, which is great for those moments when you're on the run and craving a quick bite. The staff members were efficient and friendly, ensuring a smooth and convenient ordering process.
As for the slice itself, it was alright. The sausage and pepperoni toppings were satisfactorily portioned and added a nice flavor to the pizza. However, I found the crust to be just average. It lacked the desired crispness and had a texture that was a bit doughy for my liking. While it was decent, it didn't have that wow factor.
Considering the on-the-go nature of my visit, I didn't have high expectations. The slice served its purpose as a quick and filling snack, but it didn't leave a lasting impression.
In terms of pricing, Filippo's Famous offers reasonable prices for their slices, making it a convenient option for a budget-friendly meal.
While my experience with the sausage and pepperoni slice was okay, it's worth noting that Filippo's Famous offers a variety of other toppings and pizza options on their menu. So, there might be other flavors that could deliver a more memorable experience.
To summarize, Filippo's Famous provided fast service and an okay sausage and pepperoni slice. It's a decent option when you're in a rush and need a quick pizza fix. However, if you're looking for exceptional flavor or a standout crust, you might want to explore...
Read moreI planned to meet my family here for some pizza after they'd been on a long day out. I walked in at around 7.40pm to be met with stares from a staff member. The place was completely empty and they were mopping the floor. I was concerned they might be closed so I asked if it was possible for 3 of us to dine in. The staff member looked horrified and said "when are the others coming". I said "they are on their way from the station" (a 5 minute walk away). The advertised closing time was 8.30pm so there was plenty of time. The staff member shrugged and said ok in the most unfriendly way imaginable.
I sat down to wait for my family and felt really uncomfortable. The staff members completely ignored me. I get that it's counter service but I was literally the only person there, it might have been appropriate to offer me some water or just acknowledge my existence. When my family arrived I realised I couldn't subject them to the terrible atmosphere so we went elsewhere. I have no idea why this place would say it was open until 8.30pm but not actually welcome diners. A huge disappointment!
Just to add, the doors are really stiff so not great for disabled people, and the booths are very narrow. They do have alternative seating with tables and chairs near...
Read more1 star because I can’t give zero stars. Horrible customer service, even worse of a manager. I ordered a large pie and some mozzarella sticks and the pie had no sauce on it, the mozzarella sticks were salty greasy and soggy. I’m not really a picky person and rarely complain but it was horrible. When I called and complained and said I would like the money back for just the pizza and the mozzarella sticks (we got a 2 liter drink also) the manager told me to “never call back there again because he doesn’t want my business”. Yet it was his fault that HIS food was cooked terribly, he somehow made it my problem. Thankfully I got my money back and threw the driver some cash because it wasn’t his fault and he was pretty much the nicest person throughout this whole ordeal. Learn your customer service skills and put some passion in your craft, it’s not just money. You can’t just throw the word “famous” in something and expect people to believe you. Horrible people...
