George Street Camera — Local services in New Brunswick

I got my film developed and scanned here. To start, they "didn't see anything" for two photos I took when there was clearly an image on the negatives so they just decided not to scan them. After noticing missing photos, I went back to get the negatives they missed scanned and they told me that if I don't want them to miss negatives on the roll to take better photos. Additionally, they sell film negative storage sheets that don't fit the negatives because of how they cut them. When I asked if they could cut the negatives to fit the storage sheets that they sell, they told me it would be an additional cost. Lastly, all the scans I got have dust all over the image. I know that this is a small problem but just annoying to have to do additional post processing when they could just make sure their scanner is dust free. While I want to support local businesses, its hard to pick George Street Camera when the service was so much worse than I've had with big company...

I went to George Street Camera with a camera I found in my attic, and little to no knowledge about film photography. I left with lots more knowledge than I came in with and an eagerness to get started. At the shop, we found out the camera I had brought in did not work, instead of sending me on my way, Carl introduced me to a number of other cameras I might want to do some research on. I ended up getting a camera that suited my needs as a beginner, and everything I needed to get started. The staff at George street Camera are very friendly, helpful, and take the time to explain everything you need. Definitely will be back for my camera needs....

The film developing and scanning is great! Can really tell the owner cares about his business the employees their customers. I did have some issues with getting my camera repaired. It was sent out to a third party to fix it and I was given a bill before I could get an estimate to decide if I still wanted it fixed. Despite this, the owner who was helping me take care of the matter, convinced the mechanic to settle for a lower price. I don't know if I would go in for a repair again (maybe I just had bad luck) but this still has great customer service and film...
