Sam's Chicken & Pizza — Restaurant in New Brunswick

I will never order from this place again. Yesterday we ordered 3 pizzas to be delivered 11 minutes away to my address in Highland park. The person who took the order entered the wrong address and instead of sending the driver to highland park, he went to Piscataway. We called to let them know that their driver was another 25 minutes away. Now it had already been an hour before the delivery driver called us to tell us he couldn’t find our address. The “manager” Zia (sp) told us she couldn’t do anything and that the driver can bring the pizzas back, make fresh ones and bring it out to us. It had already been two hours by this time. A house full of hungry people and kids who just want pizza and she wants us to wait another hour or so to bring us fresh pizza. We said we would take those pizzas that have been out in the car/cold for over two hours and that we should get them for free. I mean, it’s only right. It has been 2 friggin hours. They fought and fought with us and refused to work with us. They didn’t even want to refund us our money saying that, they would rather send out more pizza. I refuse to wait almost 2 and a half hours for pizza when this place is 11 minutes away from my house. Needless to say, they were all very nasty and wouldn’t work with us at all even though it was THEIR mistake!!! You don’t treat customers that way!! Without customers, you have NO business!!! You definitely lost mine and everyone else I know! Hopefully you all change your ways!...

I’m extremely disappointed with this place. As a paying customer, I expect basic hygiene when it comes to food handling, and unfortunately this restaurant failed miserably. None of the employees were wearing gloves while preparing or serving food. I watched them touch everything such as cash registers, doors, countertops, plastic bags, dirty dishes, scratch their heads, even touch their phones — and then go right back to handling food with their bare hands.

When I politely mentioned it to the boss man, he brushed it off like it was no big deal while insulting my intelligence! But it is a big deal — this is food that customers are putting into their bodies. There’s a serious risk of cross-contamination, and basic sanitary standards should be a top priority, especially in a food establishment.

What’s worse, there is zero real management. The bosses behind the counter are the main offenders not following the rules and not enforcing cleaning for their staff. The place is straight-up dirty and disgusting. I don’t care how good the food might taste — I’m not putting that into my body. This restaurant should be shut down immediately before someone gets sick or ends up filing a big lawsuit they...

I never wrote a review for anything before. I wish I could give negative 5 Stars. Sam's Chicken and Pizza is known as "Thick Chick" on DoorDash, and they don't even have the same menu, but the same address! It took my DoorDash driver a while to find the place because he was looking for "Thick Chick" and not "Sam's Chicken and Pizza". First image is what was advertised on DoorDash. Last two pictures is what I received. I couldn't finish it; it tasted awful, it was undercooked and smelled like fish. The fries I ordered were soggy and wet and you could tell that they sat out all day and were not fresh whatsoever. I don't even want my money back please keep it and use it to make your establishment better. I will never in my life eat here again or allow anyone I know to eat here. What a disappointment.
