Read moreThis place is insanely over priced. $7 for two scoops of ice cream. $20 for a pound of fudge. Decided to go against my better judgement and grab some since they said “it was so good!” The fudge tasted like something you would get out of a factory. And the icecream was mediocre at best and can be bought at any other many icecream places through the BSH stretch. Been wanting to stop here for years, but will not be back. Can go 20 minutes north down BSH and get two scoops of the same icecream, for half the price. On top of the insult of the over priced icecream, they ask you to tip their employees every chance you check out. Gift shop included. With the prices that is being presented, you should be paying your employees a good wage. I genuinely can’t believe more people are not complaining about how over priced this place is. $25 for a $10 shirt with their logo on it, $5 for a chocolate bar you can get a dollar general. lol...
Read moreThis is not a minority friendly establishment. Or should I say African American friendly. I took my children and nieces here for ice cream from Michigan City, IN. When we walked up to the place you can feel the eyes on us. It was obvious that we didn’t belong & were unwelcome. From the children to the adults we were extremely uncomfortable. But with a spirit of a fighter, I chose to stay and never be ran away from anywhere. We have the right to be anywhere. The young man who took my ice cream order was pleasant. After the order we exited and all conversation came to a halt and everyone stared at us as we walked past the front of the place. Went to the back of the place to look for seating and same exact thing happened. I then stated out loud, “have you never saw black people?”. We ate our ice-cream there regardless of the unwelcoming body languages and stares. It’s sad the world is what it is. Will...
