My 70 year old husband placed an order with the new Canaan location via the website. He did this after calling and being directed to the website because orders are not taken over the phone. He did as directed and his Amex was charged accordingly. When he went to get the order, not only was there no order despite being charged but was treated beyond rudely. He was called a liar! Mistakes happen and no business is perfect but it’s never ok to treat customers that way. The store and/or websites error would have been easily remedied with a, “ I apologize this happened, let me look into it and I will quickly put in another order for you.” An unnecessary confrontation and a loss of a customer - I asked my kids never to go there again is just small minded. When you work somewhere you represent the company no matter how small you believe your part is in that company. We have had employees since we opened our doors over 22 years ago. I have had these types of employees and fire them the second I get word they can’t be civil towards people. With burgers this small you should train your...
Read moreIf you've ever heard the saying, "food for the soul", they were referring to Press Burger. It's the kind of place your heart wants to go to when its been having a rough day. The staff is professional and welcoming. The place is clean and organized. The menu is simple to navigate but difficult to make a decision because everything just looks way too good to pass up.
The k-town is what I would relate to a Korean inspired burger. It's sweet and salty and if you pay close enough attention and get really quiet you'll discover it has the most perfect hint of heat.
The crinkle cut fries are some of the best fries I've had in quite a long time. They are crispy on the outside and soft in the center. Dipping them in the secret cheese sauce is like 4th of July in your mouth, and explosion of joy and flavor.
The chocolate milk shake and Oreo milk shake are as filling as they are delicious.
In the words of Samuel L Jackson: mhmm this is a...
Read moreI stopped in for a Burger. I order the House Single. I asked for extra L&T and a Med Rare Burger. For $10.00 I got the smallest Burger, well done, 1 piece of Lettuce and 2 tiny slices of tomato. I was shocked at what I got for $10.00. Especially as I can go to Burger King and order 2 Whopper Jr's for $5.00. And they're always happy to load it with L&T and Pickles, if I ask. What I didn't say is that I'm a lifelong professional chef. If I've cooked 100K hamburgers over the 40+ years I've worked, undoubtedly this wasn't what I would serve to my customers, for that price point. It's sufficient to say I won't be stopping back at this place again. Woefully overcharged for a...
