This spot is def my favorite in New Canaan! It's always busy which is a great sign. The host takes your number and calls when your table is ready which allows you to shop in charming downtown New Canaan. The ambience is charming and changes periodically by focusing on various artists or decorating for holidays. Always a good cafe vibe though. I've been going to Rosie for a couple of years now and was surprised I had not written a Yelp review yet. The staff is attentive and friendly. And the owner is almost always on the premises. It always makes me happy when the owners are present. Today I had the turkey chili which was perfect for this cold January day. One of my favorites is the crispy cauliflower either as an appetizer or as tacos. So good with just the right amount of spice. Rosie isn't afraid of cooking with bold spices which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Not spicy hot...just bold flavors. I've had all of the tacos and been happy across the board. The lobster when it's in season is incredible. And I often take a blueberry muffin or a s'mores cookie home with me. They've handled the pandemic very well. Always wearing masks, socially distant, reduced capacity, disinfecting, hand sanitizer available, etc. they do a very good catering and takeout business as well which is great. I'm a big fan. Just know that it is going to be busy and there will most likely be a wait. The food isn't fast food. They used to have a saying on the chalkboard that said something to the effect of "Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is your breakfast". But I've always been taught that good things come to those who wait...and Rosie is always worth the wait. Sumita was my server today and she is always attentive to detail and friendly. Lindsay, Matt, Rob...I've never met a staff member that I didn't like!

Nestled in the heart of town, this bustling brunch spot exudes a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere. The moment you step inside, the cheerful chatter of children fills the air, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The establishment boasts a delightful cupcake case, showcasing an array of whimsically decorated treats that immediately capture the attention of both young and old. The menu is a perfect blend of wholesome salads and delectable brunch options, catering to a diverse range of tastes. Families with kids find a haven here, as the menu features child-friendly choices, ensuring even the pickiest eaters leave with satisfied smiles. The colorful decor and playful wall art contribute to the restaurant's kid-centric charm. However, the popularity of this charming brunch spot often leads to a bustling crowd. The wait, though worthwhile, can be a tad lengthy during peak hours. Yet, the vibrant atmosphere and delicious offerings make it a go-to destination for families seeking a delightful brunch experience, making the wait a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of a memorable dining adventure.

3.2.24 I would have given this visit a 5, but unfortunately, although my breakfast burrito tasted great, I didn't get it until 25-35 minutes AFTER all my friends got their dishes and finished eating. I have no idea what happened. The waiter apologized and brought our table one cookie to share, to make me feel better. But it was quite uncomfortable to sit there, watch my friends eat, waiting for what was a simple order and seeing 3 other tables get their food. But besides that, the venue has a great ambiance. The baked goods look amazing, and the coffee was served hot and in a huge mug. So all positives there. I'm sure my experience was just a one-off. And no, they didn't take anything 'off' my bill. And that's ok. I'm not one of those people who expects that.

What a great spot for a calm bite. The staff first of all is top tier, they made sure we were comfortable with where we sat (since I mentioned I didnt want to be in the front because of the cold to my partner & they overheard lol 😆) however I did end up in the front and was not cold at all. Service was quick, we started with hot chocolate and a scone that was served with honey and pecan butter and OMG. Delicious. The hot chocolate though I dnt think is worth the price it was okay. Now our plates, Farmers plate and pulled bbq pork sandwich was great. We ended up purchasing baked goods, cookies muffins and more scones love how it is not too sweet. Price was generally fair. We are def coming back.

This was brunch. Was busy, but not overwhelming. Absolutely satisfying. Outstanding staff. Delicious options. We started a pot of tea along with the blueberry muffin. This was recommended by the waiter. A perfect balance of crunch on top and fluff in the middle. We ordered the Superico burrito and the chorizo burrito. Both bursting with flavors. If you are a cheese fan get the Superico. If you want a bit of a kick, rock the chorizo. I couldn't decide what I liked better, however, I got the best of both worlds. Sharing is caring. :) Rosie's is a place to revisit. I'm looking forward to trying everything on that menu.

We were so impressed with this place that we drove an hour and a half just to come back for another meal (and another muffin). The food is phenomenal. The staff are all friendly and helpful. And the atmosphere is cute and cozy. But the showstoppers at Rosie’s are the blueberry muffins. I’m not a muffin person. But I can’t get enough from Rosie’s muffins, especially the blueberry ones. They are so packed with fresh blueberries that they are hard not to love. Can’t rate this place highly enough. I think the fact that drove 1.5 hours just to eat here speaks for itself.
