Garrison Deli — Restaurant in New Castle

Reviews are based on personal experience and this place is not very well sign posted so not very easy to find as it’s on the main road but you can easily miss it as it’s in the middle of housing complex. I ordered one sub of spicy beef sandwich sub. It did not meet the description because the beef was not tasty neither did it have much spices . It was as bland as sandwich can be. The cost of this one sub was $20. I mean what is it they are putting in there that warrants such a high price ! Pieces dry aged ribeye or what ! The bread was dry and doughy and meat not tasty at and for $20 for a sub that is tasteless and dry I don’t think will be in a rush of going back here . I do know a lot about food and I have owned successful restaurant business in New Jersey and yes I can cook and I do know the different cuts of beef and grades too but this place is well below par for the prices he...

I’ve supported this business for the last few months getting the exact same order each time well yesterday I was charged double I went back today to let them know and also placed an order as i normally would. Same lady who charged me was at the counter and I advised her of what happened and what appeared to be the owner walked over and i also showed him the transaction amount date and told him what time i came in. I was met with nothing but rudeness from him refusing to pull the receipt or even the cameras to show what I paid for and walked out with that day. I’ll never support this business again and I don’t recommend it to anyone. We were visiting from Seattle and was looking for a place to have some Philly cheesesteaks when we passed by here. It’s not very noticeable but OH MY GOD ARE THE SANDWICHES AMAZING!! The cheesesteak was juicy and all of the meat served in the sandwiches were super fresh. When we told the owner that we came from Seattle, they immediately made another free sandwich for us, which was so nice of them. They said that the reason their meat taste so good is they’re all purchased on a daily basis as they don’t have a fridge to hold all the meat they need, which is pretty neat.
