For context, I used to come here quite often for take out, or have someone on my team pick it up for business lunches. Prior to this we probably spent at least a few thousand dollars a year here as we're located nearby.
I'm not going to write out the full details of what happened but I had one of the worst bar experiences of my life here recently in a confrontation with one of the bartenders who just decided to pick on my fiancee no reason because he either didn't like that she doesn't drink or was upset that we were interrupting his ability to watch anime with his friends while on the job.
I've had smaller issues with this guy before and seen him mistreat others and I frankly can't believe they still have him on staff. Maybe he's the owner or maybe they just put him on when they have no one else available. Seems like a lot of the reviewers have had a problem with this guy as well. If you're reading this, I hope your edited narrative allows you to keep your position at this "fine belgian brewery" for a bit longer.
I don't want to cause drama and I've never publicly complained about a business before before. But for the rest of my life I'm going to tell people to avoid this place, and for our business meals we will find somewhere else that is more happy to...
Read moreGreat spot for the beer loving vegetarian. HOWEVER, being a female and wanting a 2nd beer was a challenge. I attempted to make eye contact, saying “excuse me” - no luck. Unfortunately for my fellow bar patron next to me, he was being more vocal- “hey boss” ,“hi excuse me” -picking his empty glass up and moving it to show how it’s empty- got REALLY RUDE service. The female bartender did not check on us and the male with the large birth mark gave this man attitude that left my jaw on the floor. The man we are tipping and paying for service told him to stop being rude by waving his glass (so he clearly saw us!) the patron asked if he wanted him to leave and his response was to stop waving his glass and stop being rude. So no shock here- he left, I’m still thirsty- even a water refill would have been great! When the female bartender found out he left she was shocked - the male bartender told her that the patron “was acting weird.” No buddy- you were out of line. How the hell do you get off treating customers like that?! Sadly I loved the food but idk if I’ll ever eat there again just from that man being so mad and taking it out on paying customers. (Don’t change the table set up- that...
Read moreExtremely rude and condescending bartender who stated she was “the manager” when I asked to speak with one following her behavior. Our food was “thrown out” apparently because we didn’t speak up to say the order was ours as she brought it by the tables in our area. When asked if we could have our order, she initially told us we will have to pay for it again as my table was “rude” and didn’t acknowledge her when she came by. At what restaurant should the patrons be responsible for making sure their order is served correctly to their respective table?
I hope the owner of Rudy’s reads this review as well as the others on Google that describe a similar experience as mine and make some changes. I’ve never left a restaurant or any other business for that matter along with my guests feeling appalled at how we were treated.
It’s too bad as my own business is very near and my staff and I really like the food but this type of service is unacceptable and will certainly keep us away from giving favorable...
