Taichi Bubble tea is the best restaurant of New Haven and I have at least 5 reasons to affirm that: 1 - Staff: I'm Brazilian and one of the most important thing for us is the quality of the customer service. Unlike most restaurants in the area, the Taichi employees are careful and kind. I believe the manager trained the employees very well. 2- Quality: I used to eat poke at Pokemoto. Until I tried the Taichi's rice bowls. It almost the same thing but Taichi's ingredients are much more fresh (like tuna and salmon) and the salad are the same level of Claire's Corner Copia restaurant. 3-Cost-benefit: Comparing it to healthy meals price in the NH region, I think you can save at least 2-3 dollars and they have the gift card that you can save money even more. Besides, they are very generous in the amount of food. 4- Cleanness: It is often when I stick my arm to the table because of the grease or leftover food on the table. However, It never occurred to me at this restaurant. So, I give the "A" grade for non-sticky tables (and chairs). 5 - Environment: it has many different and comfortable chairs and tables. Great place to go with friends, family or just alone as well. The music is not so loud and the temperature is very nice (not too cold) 6 (Bonus) - Waiting time: They are super fast. Usually I wait between 5 to 10 minutes in a lunchtime. In other places it would take me like 12 minutes or more. To sum up, I strongly recommend this restaurant. It is in my the top 5 restaurants in NH....
Read moreThe space was well-lit, clean, and welcoming. Lots of various seating areas to choose from. I think there was an appropriate amount of staff to handle all the orders during a Sunday afternoon. I received my order (placed through one of the self-ordering kiosks) in a timely manner between groups of other guests.
The menu is straightforward and fairly intuitive. There are options to adjust beverage size, sweetness (sugar level), amount of ice, and extras (toppings). It should be noted that beverage flavors do not come with toppings pictured with the specific drinks on-screen unless stated. For example, Jasmine is pictured with mixed fruit jelly as a topping at the self-ordering kiosk but does not automatically come with it when selected with toppings of your choice.
Ordered: -Mango (small, 50% sugar, regular ice, tapioca pearls) -Jasmine (large, 25% sugar, no ice, tapioca pearls, herbal jelly)
My friend enjoyed their mango beverage. I thought the Jasmine was mediocre. I’m not sure if the base is made from a powder which also produces the green color but the taste was rather subtle. The tapioca pearls’ and herbal jelly’s textures and flavors were average.
Overall, not bad and not the greatest in regards to bubble tea beverages in Connecticut. The space would be great to host events and...
Read moreI just wanted to take a moment to express how much I love your bubble tea. The taste of your entire menu is outstanding, and the Zang Zang Taro Bubble Tea is truly something special—it stands out above anything else I’ve tried anywhere.
While I was living in New Haven, I used to have your bubble tea almost every three days. It quickly became my go-to comfort drink and something I genuinely looked forward to. However, due to work, I’ve recently moved to Charlotte, NC, and I’ve been missing Taichi Bubble Tea like crazy. Charlotte is growing fast and has so many popular food spots, but sadly, it still lacks a truly great bubble tea place like yours.
In fact, I recently made the trip all the way from Charlotte to New Haven just to enjoy your bubble tea again. I even shared my story with your staff during my visit—they were super friendly and kind. That’s how much your drinks mean to me!
I’m writing this message with a sincere request: please consider opening a location here in Charlotte. I truly believe it would be a huge hit, and I know many others here would love it as much as I do.
Thank you for creating such an amazing experience with your drinks, and I hope to see a Taichi Bubble Tea in...
