The Coffee Pedaler hums with quiet energy on a snowy holiday morning. Through the steamed windows, locals sink into conversations while well-behaved dogs in puffy coats rest at their feet. An expert staff navigates the morning rush, crafting espresso drinks and perfectly balanced matcha lattes that justify their premium pricing.

The carefully curated coffee program draws from various roasters, offering depth without pretension. Beyond coffee, their matcha service stands out, each cup prepared with precision and care. The focused food menu, including bagels & lox, provides just enough sustenance without trying to be a full restaurant.

Housed in a restored brick building, the space feels lived-in and intentional. Natural light plays across hardwood floors and exposed brick walls, while the wooden bar serves as both workspace and gathering point. Even at capacity, conversations flow easily between creepy strangers and regulars alike.

The Coffee Pedaler has mastered that delicate balance between serious beverage service and genuine community space. It's a place where quality speaks for itself, and where winter-wrapped visitors linger long after their...

From delicious bagels, to apple turnovers that are heavenly...never to go to dunkin again, except for creamer! Oh how Ryan has created and hosted such a tremendous time capsule in new haven of unique international coffee beans and fruitful flavors never before tasted. And now its 2025, a artisan take on a Egg and Cheese, just to let you know you have ventured into the best coffee shop in New Haven. If Yale meets the bucolic aftertaste of a sip of coffee and a turn of the page, a bite of a chocolate croissant or a everything bagel, just make sure you get the amazingly special Latte (I load mine with sugar, however for the first time in my 20 years of drinking coffee since 10 I have never been able to drink coffee with such little sugar to feel the enriched taste. Opens at 9am, come and see Ryan and Torrey they will be happy to turn a cold winter day inquisitive, or a burning desire for coffee into a dream come true. Ryan continues to grow his business with new treats such as a egg and cheese sandwich and the specially made cakes that are...

I stumbled upon this amazing coffee shop right after I moved here, and it’s instantly become my go-to spot! The coffee is always top-notch - rich, flavorful, and just what I need to kickstart my day or an afternoon delight. But what really complements this place are their incredible biscuits and pastries.

The staff is super friendly and attentive, making it feel like a warm and welcoming place. There’s something special about finding a spot where you feel truly comfortable.

Here are my recommendations:

Don’t miss the biscuits! If you can, plan some extra time - this is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy your coffee. Try different pastries with your coffee - they pair beautifully together.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for great coffee and that cozy, neighborhood...

Definitely DO NOT go here. SO over priced and not worth it. I ordered a cappuccino and it came out in a mini to go cup. For a cappuccino and pastry it came out to $11. I was very disappointed. Service is also not quick even if you're the only three people in the coffee shop. I ordered an apple tart. The cashier then proceeded to pick up the pastry and drop it on to the counter and then give it to me crumbled in a bag. The pastry was delicious but the dropping on the counter tainted the experience. We also ordered a bagel with butter. The butter was slabbed on and not spread at all. I attached a picture of the bagel with butter. Other comments are accurate that the shop attempts to be trendy but does not provide the needed service and quality food to do so.

I was looking for good coffee, this place popped up on google and i decided to give it a try. I wasn't really feeling anything milky. I'm a black coffee drinker... i ordered espresso. Quite expensive for a single shot ($3 for 1oz.) it was strong, i was expecting for it to also be smooth, but it wasn't. Parking sucks here, but i got lucky and got street parking right around the corner. Next time i'll try a latte.
