Pedals Smoothie & Juice Bar — Restaurant in New Haven

The ambience is extraordinarily nice for a café (the bathroom is spotless in an area where it's hard to find an acceptable public one) and my "Dragon Today" smoothie was delicious!

That said, given that the drink ended up being around 10 ounces, charging around $10 for the whole thing is a little crazy. I appreciate the costs of operating in the area and that quality is something that one needs to pay for, but charging that much for what amounts to a small virgin cocktail didn't sit right with me given the numerous other establishments charging 60% or less for similar drinks. The quality in this establishment is higher than those -- particularly for those looking for a quiet place to stop and relax -- but the high cost still loses this...

I mistaken this place for the coffee pedaler on the other side of the street lol I was looking for a dog friendly place to have a quick lunch, and I ordered an avocado toast. They were nice and offered pb to my dog.

But, wow, ~$11 for an avocado toast that consisted only of avocado and two pieces of bread. A teeny tiny amount of spices were also on the toast, but not even salty enough.

I bought a smoothie bowl to have for lunch and the smoothie bowl itself was premade and frozen solid.
