My first time experience here with my boyfriend really upset me and felt like I was scammed. We ordered what we wanted, Taro crème brûlée and Oreo Crème Brûlée with boba. They tasted horrible, absolutely disgusting. And not only did they taste horrible but also not what I had intended it to be. The drinks looked totally different from the menu which was the first sign. The drink wasn’t even taro or Oreo. So we had to ask why our drinks didn’t taste like either of those and if they got our order wrong but they said those were the toppings and the crème brûlée is the flavor of the drink WHICH SHOULD BE SPECIFIED IN THE MENU!!! And the taro topping was not a good texture. Dried taro with no taste. Couldn’t even finish my drink.
Not only that but the prices were a bit absurd. A single macaron for $4!?!? And those plushies for $25. Ended up spending a little more than 20 bucks on bad boba. Not worth it at all.
Looking back at the reviews, it looked pretty suspicious, not only was there comments from the owner “concerned” at how the bad reviews were “fake” accounts. They matched the same way I felt. And the pictures from the good reviews of the inside looks totally different in my opinion. The service wasn’t all bad though. They took our orders dryly but maybe that’s because of a language barrier. That’s it though....
Read moreI’ve visited vivi a few months back and to be honest, everytime I pass it, i relive the horrible time I’ve experienced there in my mind. I ordered a lychee bubble tea, and as I’m handing the cashier the money, she took it with tongs…now mind you, the customers before me didn’t have their money received in such a rude manner. I’m not sure if it had anything to do with race but I’m african american and everyone else was either caucasian or korean/asian- american in there. she made me feel like a germ and it greatly offended me, especially when I was being polite. Aside from that rude encounter, the bubble tea was kinda nasty to me but i have nothing else to go off of so I can’t complain too much. The enviorment in there wasn’t the best and felt slightly dirty to me. Not to mention. Instead of having an acrylic or glass panel to separate the back of the cashier counter from the outer part where the customers stand, they used a shower curtain that was dirty and tattered and half falling down. I felt a little afraid to get anything from here but i wanted to try bubble tea for the first time. I’m so sad to say that my first experience...

Worst flavored taro I've ever had. My favorite flavor I try everywhere. (From powder to puree in any state or city I visit.) Nope. Weird artificial taste and that mouth film feeling. That thing where it gets worse the more you drink... I'm confused how that could happen with taro.
Brown sugar boba - this was so good. Top tier would go again for this. The difference between this and the other stuff tried was night and day.
Strawberry float - another miss. My buddy who loves strawberry anything (I tried it, nope for me) kept drinking as a "I paid for it I'll eat it"... And said like I did with the taro it got worse the more you drink.
Boba itself - very nice. Great level of chewy not too much not too little.
I will probably try the more straight tea varieties and avoid...
