Used mobile ordering today. I went to the curbside to complete my order. After I paid, it told me there was an error on their end to go inside the restaurant and give them a code. I went inside, I waited several minutes at the counter but was never greeted. I tried to get someone's attention. Finally got the attention of the person filling the bags. She snapped at me told me that my order would be ready when it was ready. She didn't even give me a chance to explain what happened or show her the code. When the next mobile order was up, another person tried to hand it to me. It wasn't my order and when I said that, they told me to go order on the machines and tried to dismiss me. I told her no and tried to quickly explain that the app malfunctioned and gave me code to give them instead. At that time I asked to speak with a manager. She said she was a manager and then couldn't figure out how to look up a mobile order. I don't believe she was actually a manager. I showed her the receipt on my phone with their store adress on it, yet she kept asking me if I were sure I was at the right McDonald's ( I was , I double checked and it stated so on my phone). She kept trying to tell me that she couldn't find it cause the payment didn't go through. It did, it was showing on my bank account. I also kept shower her the receipt on my phone. She started to rering my order, despite the fact that I had already paid and was not willing to pay again. Then she told me some of the things I ordered were out of stock. I finally just said I would take it up with my bank. I wasn't getting anywhere with her.(despite the receipt and the order number. And despite the fact that my bank account has already been charged.) Plus I have an extremely bad headache and work with small children so I just needed an easy dinner to get through the rest of the day. I know the app malfunction wasn't their fault but how they responded to me when I tried to explain the issue was uncalled for.
Now I have to call my bank and explain what happened and hope they refund my money, other wise I'm out the money.
I've had mediocre customer service here in the past. This was way worse. I don't think I'll be back to...
Read moreI’ve worked in food service since I was 14, including at McDonald’s during university, so I’m not the type to leave complaints. In fact, the only review I’ve ever written is a positive one. But after this experience, I had to 😭😭.
After a long day of work aaaaalllll I wanted was a large fry 😔. I wanted to use a deal, but I accidentally clicked on the wrong one. Even though I quickly removed it, the app kept thinking I’d redeemed it and wouldn’t let me use the code for the fry.
The employee in the back booth could see I hadn’t used any other code recently (after all, how else would I have been able to pull up the first deal???), and he knew I hadn’t actually redeemed the one I clicked on by mistake. He told me the manager could fix it.
But when I got to the 2nd window, the manager just kept repeating that I’d already used the code and didn’t seem willing to do anything about it. I explained the situation a few times—that it was a simple mistake, the app glitched, and his employee could verify that—but he didn’t seem to understand.
I have management experience at McDonald's myself, and I know this would’ve been a super easy fix. But the manager kept insisting I’d already used the code, and I ended up driving to another McDonald's rather than wait 15 minutes in the parking lot like a loser. It was frustrating and confusing—especially when it could’ve been resolved quickly—but the manager either didn’t want to help or just couldn’t understand what I was saying. I'm sad...
Read moreI've been living in this area for 7 years and have never been more dissatisfied with this McDonald's in the past. Over the last 6 months the service has been rude and unwelcoming in the drive thru. The workers which half seem to be high schoolers, are rude and impatient. They don't listen and argue with me when I correct what is on the screen. The food is never fresh and hot anymore. It taste like it's been keep warm in a food warmer to long because the edges of the McChicken is crisp and hard. The French fries are always cold and hard. So hard that it literally is like double deep fried shoe strings. Like they have been sitting under the warmer and they placed them back in the grease to feel hot. Noone takes the time to actually make the sweet tea properly and the HiC always tastes watered down. I have stopped eating here for months and thought I'd give it another try...but heck no! Someone is gonna get really sick from this place and it will be the workers fault! Very few of the employees should actually be in customer service, because it's not about customer service for them it's just about a pay check. So very...
