Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in New Kensington

I wished I could give this a zero star. I am not changing my 5 star from a year ago to a zero star... This DQ has the worst employees. They don't care about customer service one bit! It's a bunch on negatives slowly growing until tonight! Tonight I'm at my breaking point! I go to the drive thru. Get 2 larg soft drinks a banana split and a small Oreo blizzard... I get handed my banana split no napkins no bag just shoved into my hand, as chocolate is pouring out the side spilling on my leg and my van thank God I had napkins sitting there to clean the mess us.. the girl at the window was to worried about shoving me my drinks and blizzard to not even offer me napkins or wait a minute to let me clean this chocolate mess up.. she then hands me a cup carrier (that I had to ask me) it's literally falling apart in her hands. She again shoves it in my hands and says okay have a good day.. umm okay... Well my lid for my one drink was broken and instead of giving me a new lid (I didn't see it until I pulled out) she let it spill in my car. All and all I won't be back! And we are there once a month for the car show... Looks like I will be packing my family a lunch!! To many bad experience lately.. not worth the trip or the prices anymore.. I'll stick with Ice...

The owner is the coolest most personable but still genuine. The actual owner Honestly interacted with me the way I always wanted to represent myself in the industry, but had to invent a facade because I was operating within a corporation. He personally (last minute) MADE the celebration between my wife and I... which was me escaping the facade I described earlier. I was excited to share with my wife, I am impulsive often and TERRIBLE at surprises. This man (and his dope friendly staff hooked me up and pointed in the right direction for EVERYTHING.)

AND, since my wife and I BOTH don't like actual cake... EVERY birthday or celebration will be a personalized Ice Cream Cake from this SPECIFIC LOCATION (franchises, do not be fooled by the Logo.) There are 3-4 DQ locations located conveniently near me. This is the only one...

I've gone here 15-20 times and half the time the order is made correctly, but the other half it is not. For example, sometimes the blizzard has the chocolate pieces, fudge, and syrup throughout the entire blizzard, but other times 1/4 to 1/2 of the cup is just plain ice cream. I tried excusing the errors as mistakes made by new hires, but after so many times, the employees either don't care, aren't being trained correctly, or are knowingly and intentionally ripping people off by not including all of the ingredients/toppings on their products in an effort to save the restaurant money. Simply put, the quality of service here is not good enough; it's worth driving an extra 5-10 minutes to go to the next DQ...
