While enjoying its "old fashioned" candy store atmosphere served up with excellent and appreciative customer service, you can revisit your childhood there and find lots of tasty and memories to take home with you! They have plenty of flavors/cones to choose from. If you are familiar with Plush Horse in Palos, you will be delighted to know that Raffy's gets ice cream from them. I am updating my review as I only bought the fruit slices for myself didn't try the other candy as they were for other family members. After reading the owners comments, I did try the other candy and those were not stale. I am still disappointed in the fruit slices but the rest tasted great.

I was very disappointed in the candy I received. I had to throw out an entire pound of fruit slices as every single one of them were very stale and couldn't be eaten as they were hard as a rock. I could have gotten old candy from Walgreens and paid less.

They do have a great selection and the sales girl was very nice. The space as a whole is welcoming. It is conveniently located by the childrens museum also.

We went there for free Ice cream scoop since it was my sons name that day. The girl working worked the candy shop party and the ice cream. Few people in there so we waited a bit in both shops for her to finish up. Which was no problem. Her personality lacked though. She was mute during both my interactions at the ice cream shop and candy shop. I made a couple comments to make small talk and she literally said nothing. I even mentioned my sons birthday that day.
