This well-known seafood restaurant offers good but not excellent food, with lobster rolls that are tasty but not spectacular... so temper your expectations. Overall, it's decent but not exceptional.

Full Review: This well-known seafood restaurant left me with mixed feelings. While the food was good, it didn't quite live up to the hype or the expectations I had based on its reputation.

One of the first things to note is that there is usually a wait (both to give your order then to receive your food), which is to be expected for any popular restaurant.

The lobster rolls, a signature dish of the restaurant, were tasty but not outstanding. They were well-prepared and flavorful, but nothing about them stood out as exceptional. Similarly, the fries, fried clams, and drinks we ordered were all enjoyable but didn't leave a lasting impression.

In terms of quantity, quality, and price, the food here is decent but not exceptional. While it's tasty and satisfying, it doesn't offer the kind of filling or truly flavorful experience that some may expect from a restaurant that so many people clamor over.

The restaurant's ambiance and presentation seem to cater more to those looking to share on their feeds rather than those seeking a truly memorable dining experience.

This seafood restaurant offers good but not spectacular food. The lobster rolls and other dishes are tasty, but they may not meet the expectations of those looking for a truly exceptional culinary experience. If you're expecting something truly exceptional, you may want to temper your expectations.

My wife & I were craving a lobster roll and since we were in the area we thought we would give Captain Scott’s a try since their ratings looked good. The lobster rolls were underwhelming. I completely understand food costs have gone up quite significantly over the past 4 yrs but $30 per roll for this portion seemed unfair. There was some where around 1/4 pound of lobster meat in there. They offer the lobster rolls in 2 sizes sm for $25 and the lg for $30. I can’t even imagine how unsatisfying the small could have been. The roll itself wasn’t anything that special, it wasn’t buttered, I personally prefer a brioche or a potato roll. We opted for the warm roll vs the cold one. The lobster meat tasted a bit over cooked and slightly rubbery and not fresh and succulent. There was no butter on it so it was a bit dry. After the first bite, I went and got some melted butter and that helped it out a bit. I think this place is more known for their fish fried dishes and not the preparation of the almighty lobster roll. It didn’t get its’ rightful respect as it should have for such a premium cost. After having some of the most colossal and succulent lobster rolls all up and down the Maine coast line it’s hard to satisfy these two lobster loving customers. Try to give that lobster some more loving attention. Cheers to an...

This was a really nice place! Getting to it was through a little sketchy street but their entire property was very nice. We waited in line maybe 10 minutes on a Thursday afternoon but it felt quicker. The food was delicious! My only complaint was that I ordered the fried shrimp dinner (which says it comes with red potatoes or fries and coleslaw) and asked for no coleslaw. When I got my order it was just the shrimp and no fries or other side dish. I hadn’t chosen to receive my receipt when I paid so I couldn’t double check what I paid for. I went back up and asked the lady at the pickup window and she said it doesn’t come with a side. I pointed to the sign and said it says it comes with fries and coleslaw and I just didn’t want the coleslaw and she just kind of shrugged her shoulders and said sorry but the check they see doesn’t say fries included. Maybe I didn’t pay for the meal and just got some side order of shrimp but I didn’t see that on the menu and for $60 for 2 people it seems like I paid for the meal. Other than that the shrimp and the onion rings my friend had were wonderful! We got ice cream at the end that was also tasty and right in the same building too. Besides that one issue we had an excellent time and...
